Was it a confirmation email that you signed up or was it an actual invite to beta test something?
If its the latter, you shouldn't talk,post or screencap it. If you want to have a chance at being in this beta or getting an invite to or future beta testing opportunities, I advise you keep quiet.
if you aren't sure if its a scam or not, see if its an email address domain is something like @bungie.net or bungie.com. If its from one of those domains, its legit. But of course like others have said, contact Drbunsen or urk.
That's a terrible way to tell if an email is legitimate or not. Emails can be spoofed, I have at least 27 pieces of proof in my junk folder right now. Check where links in the email direct. If links direct to the bungie.net domain then it is legitimate. However as you have suggested, if you are in doubt, contact someone from Bungie and they should be able to clarify.
