I'm insane and I know it. That's what I like about myself.

What if instead of the Flood and the Gravemind, there were Necromorphs and Markers. Thoughts?

Well the Covies wouldn't do very well for one thing.. plasma doesn't cut it melts flesh. So unless everyone uses a energy sword, then their stuffed.

Also Halo would change from a FPS with blood and violence to an 18 rated Survival/Horror game.

In my opinion, it wouldn't mesh well. The flood at least have a back story, the Marker and Necromorphs are completely unknown.

I'll take the Flood any day, the scythe arms are bit too much for me LoL.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

really...?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The Flood are more powerful than the Necromorphs, so the Forerunners would have likely defeated the Necros and Halo would not have been fired.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Flood also adapts to their opponents strategy, except AL, then they are like "VVe are out of here" hence vvhy they aren't in Reach.

The Necros are like the Flood minus the ability to plan attacks, build/repair/use weapons and ships, infect easily and adapt as easily.

The Necros wouldn't have taken a single Forerunner ship, ultimately making the entire current Halo universe nonexistent.

Thanks for the thoughts.
And I do agree on the flood being more powerful, given the fact that you simply have to come into contact to get infected and that the intelligence of the infected is retained, with the Necromorphs simply being animals.

But I was just throwin' stuff at the wall, I wasn't saying that the Necs would be better.

Why are you here?

I think the Covenant alone could kill the Necros off. We humans aren't as strong so we can't overpower Necros easily, but something like an Elite or Brute could just kick the crap out of them. As for the giant monster things that Necro biomass creates, if all goes to that then their Corvettes or ships could glass/plasma torpedo the hell out of it.

I still think even the Covenent could survive a necromorph outbreak, Trust me I beat the ENTIRE game of Dead Space 2 and the waves will be endless until someone destroys the marker. You can get the custom maps for dead space on Reach custom search,But it would be easier.Just saying you have to edmit it, But I personaly think Master chief and 3 UNSC troopers could make it through.

You all seem to forget that Necros can have a central intelligence behind them, a Hive Mind, and you also seem to forget that every marker seems to be semi-sentient or fully sentient, each with it's own programs or goals that can control necros all the way up to the hive mind. The Black Marker gave instructions on how to create Necromorphs.

A copy of the Black Marker, the Red marker was man made but appeared to want only to contain the Necromorphs, as well as having instructions on how to create more markers.

The 100 story tall man-made Gold Marker, led the Necromorphs into a Convergence Event.

There is still much we don't know about Necromrphs, but obviously something powerful is behind the Markers, and the Necromorphs.
