And as for my write up:I speak with you today because it is a very special day for someone here on Bungie.net. For four and half months now, we have been graced with an active member of the community. A member who posts in not only quantity, but quality too. Through his many posts and voicing of his opinion, he has quickly lifted himself out of n00b status and into one of the most respected members of the Bungie community. I speak, of course, of JoeyBagaDonuts. Form his first post on that faithful Thursday afternoon, to his soon to be 1000th post today, JoeyBagaDonuts has led through example, that quantity and quality are not mutually exclusive.
Now we know him as one of the more experienced people around here, but he was not always someone who had respect. JoeyBagaDonuts started out as a n00b, believe it or not. His first post was full of spelling and grammatical errors, his second post was pure crap, and his third post wasn't much better. There was even one point at which he peeved me so much, I just had to flame. I don't remember if it was something he said or his spelling, but JoeyBagaDonuts was a n00b.
Jump ahead one month. It's November, the week of Halo's two year anniversary. Some of you remember this as the time when all of the Halo 2 conspiracy theories were fling around. JoeyBagaDonuts was caught up in them.
Fast forward now to January 19, when he made his first truly intelligent post. Too bad it was a double post. :)
By this time, his spelling and grammar were still somewhat of a problem, but his quality of posts was high. He was posting intelligently and thoughtfully.
Not too recently, he displayed his humbleness.
Now, we finally arrive at recent posts. The quality of posts is good, the quantity can be somewhat overwhelming, but one thing is for sure, he hasn't had one grammatically sound post as of yet.You just never know what Rip-Saw will store on his computer when he finds out there will be no more old forums! :)
