MAP: Bloodlust

Gametype(optional): Bloodlust Infection

You're probably wondering what exactly my title is talking about...

Well, it is about a new map variant that I've created in Forge mode that relates to the Infection gametype.

Bloodlust is an 'A-Symmetrical' map where players are presented in a world(to the most part) that has succumbed to a zombie apocalypse. Supports 5-16 players.

Humans

The Humans are given one stronghold that is their final stand against the dead. This holdout has both many offensive and defensive qualities ranging from Mounted Turrets (If played with the proper Gametype) to great walls and teleporters.

I attempted to give Humans the slight upperhand while not completely nerfing the zombies. I think that I finally came up with a good balance of available options to push players out of the base.

Infected

The Infected start out in a partially collapsed cave.
The cave was originally a highway off-ramp that has now been destroyed.

I tried to give this part of the map some major detail so that players can actually feel what had happened. But most likely will require some imagination lol.

In Between?
These two worlds are met with a bridge that connects the cave to the stronghold. The bridge has lots of debris and other objects to slow down the dead. But overall, nothing too major to stop them in their tracks.

The bridge also has service tunnels that the infected or humans can use to get to the other side with protection and speed. While being out of the open at the same time.

I wanted to push some action on the bridge but from what I noticed in test runs that the surface of the bridge was damn near suicide for humans.

Unless they moved through the service tunnels which provided a lot of protection with limited space but can easily still be overrun with a couple zombies.

The reason I posted this map on the forums is because I want to hear the communities experiences they had with this map. I put a lot of time into this and I just want to share it with you all.

How strong are the zombies?


The game can be played in normal matchamaking settings or the settings I have in the gametype.

Zombies are strong enough to withstand the mounted turret fire but not too strong to the point they're unstoppable.

But they have 150% damage resistance and 120% speed in my gametype.

Haha, yeah originally they were 200% but when I played a couple testing rounds they seemed kind of.. Strong.

I balanced out zombies finally by giving them unlimited Evade.

Also, I forgot to mention that this map does change with timers. I won't go into full detail on how but you'll have to just keep a close eye on the little things ;)
