which one do you prefer the most and why?
AR for me, love its high ROF and loud firing noise

I like the Assault rifle as well.

I like the AR, but I'm going to have to side with the Needler on this one. It's just too much fun filling an Elite with enough needles to see the blow up in a pink mist.

^ i hate it when they sometimes run towards you when they're stuck with a plasma grenade or 100 needles then you either die or receive heavy damage >:|

PR, It's damn accurate when you just fire one shot at at time. You can click the trigger rapidly to get fast accurate shots. The PR stuns opponents making it hard for them to move. Though I do remember when I would use the needler at long ranges to kill elites. The needler was just damn strong. but the PR was much more reliable.

A whole clip of needles will cause multiple pink explosions and is capable of killing any Elite in the game. The extra, ragdoll, explosions are purley for my enjoyment.

Tough choices!

The AR can be deadly when used properly, plus it is very satisfying to just run up on an unsuspecting covie on full auto, very very satisfying! Firing slowly helps with accuracy, and there is more ammo for that thing laying around than you can possibly go through. This is handy when you are trying to conserve pistol ammo. The AR has the best melee animation by far. Of the three, for general use, it wins.

The PR has its advantages in stunning, plus it is easier to see the little blood spurts coming from your target when you ping them with individual shots for some reason, which is cool. The melee animation is a bit lame. Other than that, I actually prefer the PP to the PR.

The needler, ah yes. One of my favorite things to do in CE is the Needler/PP combo for Jackals. O/C bolt to bring down the shield, then a WHOLE set of needles into that mother F'er, I hate Jackals! And of course, nothing compares to taking out a bunch of grunts in close quarters to each other to let their plasma grenades pile up, then sending the whole she-bang up with one heavily needled exploding Elite. Carnage, total gratifying carnage. Melee animation for the Needler is just weak, and very slow. For the most part I only use it when I am coming up on Jackals.

PR.

AR often misses even when fired in bursts and Needler's kinda slow, that is, rof and projectile speed. Homing is good though.

So do I. I think they should be extinct in the next Halo.
