You know what would be truly tragic?

If the last game this man played was Reach...

Honestly, I would mourn his death as well as that to equal degree. I hope that when my time comes, the last title on my recently played list is a Mass Effect one.

I would check your perception of "truly tragic". I hope your spirit's in the right place.

I'm almost positive he was Gears 3'in it up with DMG the night before he went to the hospital. He sent me an invite late that Sunday. I was campaigning and behind him in the campaign. Regrettably, I didn't play with him. I'm gonna have to let that go.

Didn't know him at all, but it is still sad to know one of our own died.

Descanse en paz, amigo.

Didn't know him, but I hate when we loose community members.

Feel free to ignore this, I know it's somewhat personal, but any word on the cause of death? These things are always really sudden, like with Berzerker.

Damn, that sucks. I really can't express how much I hate when things like this happen, even when I didn't know the person at all.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Carpe Diem - Carpe Coffee

Astronomy Picture of the Day!

I didn't really know him very well outside of The Workplace. Played a few games of Halo with him and enjoyed his well humored company, and I've always found him to be a funny poster in the groups I've shared with him. Regardless, this news is still incredibly hard to swallow simply because I know he was such a positive force within this community. I think this thread, and many others in various groups, is a testament to that.

Rest in peace Deathpimp, my best wishes to his closer friends and his family.

I feel so blessed to have been his friend and to have had the opportunity to meet with him in person and hangout at PAX 2011. He was such a great friend and person in general. I will never forget him or the impact he made on my life. He will be missed.

The really good part of it? Is that if you are having fun while posting well and enjoying your time here, not only is your trust rating improving (and the title as a result), you begin to realize/understand that the REAL reward isn't a title or a colored banner. The real reward is that you're actually enjoying your time here and your interaction with other members of the community. -Recon Number 54

I didn't know him, but from what I can tell he seems to be a good person with a good soul. It's always a shame to lose someone who created memories with people.

RIP.

"Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me.” - Albert Schweitzer

Even if you did not know him, understand that a human life has been taken away. Sure, things like this happen all of the time, but no matter who they are, what happens to them, or how it happens you should always pay as much respect to them, as you would want them to pay to you.

I did not know DEATHPIMP72 all that well, but I sincerely regret not being kinder to him when I had the chance. All I can do now is hope that he is in a better place, as well as wish his family and friends the best.

Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

I didn't know him at all, but all those who are affected have my condolences.

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

I didn't know DP as well as a lot of people. In fact, I'd just met him (and had a few drinks with him) at PAX11; he was one of the coolest dudes I met there. Straight away I could tell how awesome of a guy he was and how he positively affected the people around him. I'm glad I got to meet him. My thoughts and prayers go out to those that were fortunate enough to know him.

I never knew him personally but I'm sure he is up there with B.B having a good time.

RIP :)
