Zero bloom basically removes the complexity of skill required for precision.

1 - Crouch
2 - Spam
3 - Laugh at tards that try to pace

PSR = (((K+A)/D)*Win%)*120
The average player's PSR = 100

no, theres no pace, is just spamming, and on perfect shots every time. Thats not skillfull, not even a little

I can't believe that you kids still think it's "spamming" with a capped rate of fire...

>Two players cross paths
>Both start firing
>Player with the better aim (aka skill) wins

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I swear, they ought to have a fast-as-you-can-pull-the-trigger rate of fire in one gametype so these kids could really see what spamming is like. In games that have that, my semi-automatic weapons are pretty much machine-guns.

Definitely. I think it should be DMR/AR starts like Team BRs on Halo 3, with magnums as pickups.
I agree.

He who cannot command himself should obey. And many can command themselves, but much is still lacking before they can obey themselves.

No.

Here's why: Reach's player speed, jump height, and grenade strength make ZB downright laughable. How Reach plays, some bloom is essential. Implementing ZB in Reach doesn't work!, due to the inherent nature that is Halo: Reach.

So how about playing a playlist that doesn't have them?

Oh wait, this is B.net, where the logical solution just doesn't cut it, I guess.

B.net, where the best solution to a problem is to ignore it.

Not really, nothing muched has changed, except allowing for more spamming.

Just to make you feel a little dumber than you already do :

Spamming doesn't exist without bloom, you'd be retarded not to shoot at the max rate of fire.

Yes. However, it doesn't mean it's the best gametype for Halo: Reach competitive multiplayer.

  • 10.28.2011 10:30 PM PDT

zero bloom doesnt work with reach. i think it works better with the 85% bloom imo

  • 10.28.2011 10:34 PM PDT

no, it lessens it. With zero bloom it is more or less about who shoots first.

With bloom, even if they enemy shot first, they would normal spam and just start missing. Which allows me to get a quick 5 shot on them by pacing at the optimal cadence given the range.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

You contradicted yourself. If it's competitive, shouldn't the skill gap be increased?

That sounds like Reach before the title update.

In my opinion, bloom does the following with regard to skill:

- Requires you to pace your shots, which constitutes an additional skill.

- Requires you to be a better shot and pick your opportunities more carefully at any kind of distance because pacing your shots means your enemies have more time to duck behind cover or turn on you and take you down.

"I like knowing the space between my ears is immeasurable."

fk all yall, should be magnum only starting weapons that way people can't just camp on magnum spawn to prevent getting pwnd again and again by a pistola.

You should be more specific. Bloom only achieves these things if implemented correctly, it wasn't.

Hail to the Victors! Reppin' that MAIZE n BLUE!!!
Perfect Grenade
Chill bro. Gotta get my bowl.

Zero bloom is terrible. Way too easy to get kills, the ZB pistol is ridiculously easy to get kills with, all you have to do is spam the trigger..
