I recently downloaded the demo to Halo, and I purchased the game the very same week. I loved it, and I was very excited about the co-op feature. I mean, everything I read online mentioned the co-op feature for which Halo was known. Even the demo level, The Silent Cartographer, had all kinds of little details that hinted at the co-op feature. When my character kicked a rock off a ledge, a second was nearby. When I picked up a health pack, a second was nearby.
I honestly believed that the PC version included the co-op feature. I was very excited about playing a co-op LAN game with my friend. Boy was I disappointed! I now realize that these articles were talking of the Xbox version, and the level details are simply artifacts of that.
To anyone at Bungie or Gearbox who may be listening: I would happily purchase a second copy of Halo PC should you release a co-op patch. As a programmer myself, I understand the technical difficulties, but I'm sure a lot of other Halo PC players feel the same way. Releasing a co-op patch would certainly boost Halo sales.
