I was really wondering, does anyone think the co-op story will actually involve two spartans this time? i think it makes sense because on halo theres two in the first cinimatic then you never see the second one again. Also what do you guys think of 3 person co-op? I think it would be cool just to fill out a warthog against those covenant bastards. And system link co-op would be awesome.

Coop - Yes
# of Players - Up to 4 on a single Xbox, up to 16 if it's Legendary and Xbox live. Man.. Would rock so badly, and it became a new story :O

I think that 16 player co-op would have to have a beyond difficult AI otherwise it wouldnt be any fun...And spawning would be a mess if it was like it is now. But i have a solution, your team mates have to reach checkpoints, and when you reach one everyone is revived, but it can only be used once.

the amount of covvies wouold be too much for xblive to handle with 16 players. I've always thought 4 player'd be stupid cos you cant all fit into a warthog!

Yeah, besides if you had 16 people and 5 warthogs thatd leave one guy runnin behind. And if you had 6 hogs one doesnt get filled! Besides i dont think i said anything about XBL, the only feasible way to even think about 16 player co-op would be system link. Couldnt they figure out a way for each xbox to do the computing for just its own 4 players or something, i mean system link isnt supposed to lag but with one xbox doin all of that it would be massive slowdown. I'm gonna stick to 3 player co-op, and my main questions was, will there be 2 (or 3) spartans in the story line!?

Why would you want to ruin the story with 16 players? chances are, most people would rather be kicking the crap out of their friends rather than play something they either A) would like to play on their own or B) didn't go through all the trouble with 16 people to play for...

Not only would it be less used, but it would most likely be a designing nightmare. If Bungie's good, they probably only have the campaign perfect for one or two person... (4 at most) however, 16 players on a regular campaign level? the system would have to work extra hard, and what about reaching the checkpoints where everyone is teleported... talk about the memory usage! So it's probably unrealistic to hope for this right now... otherwise it sounds fun!

But i would be content with just single player and Co-op... what i'd [color=blue] really like[/color] would be something that keeps track of your stats just on your console. You could check the aspects of the game your lacking, and do better!

Yeah I basically agreed 16 people was not gonna happen, but i think 3 people on 2 tvs fighting the covenant would make for some long (fun) nights with a couple buddies.
