I voted yes b/c it's like losing an old friend. Like many of you, that pistol became one of my dearest friends 10 minutes after bringing home my XBox at 12:15am on November 15th, 2001. She was as fair and true a friend as any soldier could ask for. Reliable in a fight, generous with ammo, accurate beyond description, and powerful to a fault, she was a deadly, sexy friend whose trigger we will pull no more.
Let us all bow our heads for a moment and listen to "Happiness is a Warm Gun."
There. I feel better. If our sweet friend does not join us in Halo 2, let us be thankful of the times we had with her. If, as it seems, she will not join us on our journey, let us not hold anger, bitterness, or resentment towards the fine people of Bungie. Instead, let us find something else to fill that void, or possibly to make us feel complete; nay, let us find something else to blow away alien menaces and our friends alike.
Rest in peace, dear M6D, you earned it.
