Halo Reach 2/3rds of the way mythic conqueror (6/9)

Endure Guide

As I visit this forum I see the large amount of people still wishing to do endure. So I thought about another guide that was far more detailed and explains a strategy I used to conquer this achievement

Let me get this straight though I will Not Help you with this achievement as I do not have the time.

Map: Alpha Site.

Why: Well first the map has 2 chokepoints to funnel the enemies. Most know this but this makes it easy to take out some of the cannon fonder and see exactly what threats are coming. This allows you to act upon whatever it is and counter the treat accordingly.
Enemies

As for enemies sake focuses on the grunts first. There the easiest to kill obviously but when the catch is activated and they get close the grandees they lob are insane. These grunts alone were one of the things we died the most from. Don?t waste lives! Automags work the best against them

Jackals: these are your second priority. They won?t cause too much damage and are mainly a nuisance. Take them out quickly though using the ping method. Shoot the notch in the side to cause them to stumble back exposing their head. Then popem there. This method works through the rounds.

Brutes: Noob combo, need I say more. (Plasma Pistal+headshot). Yep that is the best way and it works through the rounds. The first two sets 2 player should use plasma pistols and Automags to take out those brutes as quickly as possible when they get close enough.

Chief tons: They deserve their own category and for good reason. The best way? First two sets use the rocket launcher+plasma pistol. Overcharge them completely lowering shields and stunning them then 1 rocket finishes them. Even the hammer ones who don?t have enough time to activate invincibility. Just save the rockets for the last set against the chief tons. The 4th set is when this method doesn?t work then use the method demonstrated by tyrant?s Halo 3 and ODST guides that utilize a method of sidestepping a chieftain jumping forward with his gravity hammer then popping him in the back. Or you could just have one person distract the chieftain and you move in for the assassination.

Hunters: Well these guys are simple use any grenades you find and use the shotgun. You know the drill with them get close they try to melee sidestep them and unleash yourself to their back don?t get too close for their melee will take you out if you?re not careful. Oh and don?t use the launcher unless it?s the 4th set. Fuel Rods do work if there were some from the last round

Drones: SMG they go down like flies. Melee when one the ground with black eye to keep the swarm from killing you.
Basic Strategy
Well it mainly consists of 2 people standing on each side staring down one of the chokepoints. This way the amount of resistance a player can have is equal. This can change when too many enemies are coming through one chokepoint for the 2 players to handle and someone can go over and reinforce that side.

1st set: You should not die here as this is the easiest set and you need to stockpile lives for the next sets to come. Follow how to take out the enemies. And have no one be the hero and try to take on the phantom with the gravity hammer. No it isn?t about trying to get points but rather surviving to the last set and getting Endure. Stick to the ranged approach by using the Automags to headshot as much of the cannon fonder as possible then using the Noob combo on brutes. Have two people with plasma pistols one on each stairwell to take out the brutes. Switch your plasma pistols for an SMG from the rack with drones. Save all the ammo for them. On the fifth wave one person with a plasma pistol should run out and get the rockets. Then use the method I outlined to kill the chieftains. This method does work.

2nd set: This one is similar to the first but you need to use plasma weapons one the brutes especially. Again don?t be stupid, just stay back and have everyone take out all the enemies collectively. Same way to kill everything.

3rd This is when things get ugly as the plasma pistol now gets scarce and taking out brutes becomes harder. Save at least two plasma pistols for the last wave though to make sure you can get past those waves with the highest amount of lives. If necessary use plasma rifles from the brutes and use them against themselves. Other than that the strategy used in the first set remains the same.

4th set: Things get very ugly here mythic comes on but surprisingly the way you kill most enemies remains the same. All those lives you saved up in the first two sets are now to be used. Try to stay alive but die if needed. Chieftains change and now take 2 rockets to take out. They activate invincibility when you try. Therefore save the plasma pistols for other brutes and use the rockets when needed for the hunters in this set. Now you need to use the sidestep or distraction method to assassinate these wasting little to no ammo what so ever. Headshots also become neassecities here to not waste precious ammo make sure you land them.

Bonus rounds: Simple equation. Fuel rod cannon clip+hole where grunts spawn at very start after skulls announced=very high multikill possibly getting all the points and a kilionare.

Ammo Crates and Health Packs

Conserve try and use only one health pack per one person. Get one to save yourself or if you have low health saving lives is more important than using one health pack. The ammo everyone uses is in these crates use the Automags for everything else but hunters, chieftains and drones. Use SMGs only for drones. Conserve and be accurate.

These skulls are a bit touch and go so here?s what I would do.

Black eye: Ranged approaches are best to limit the damage received if anything gets close melee it. And get a health pack if you?re just to damaged

Catch: Be careful with grenade chucking enemies. Kill grunts first though when this is activated.

The last topic I wish to cover is improvisation. When ammo is scarce or you have none improvise. Use plasma rifles instead of pistols. Carbine and beam rifles for Automags. And use any other weapons if everything else fails.

I hope I could be of some help for you If you have suggestions or errors in the guide tell me please.
