Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

I'm not a knife wielding pumpkin master, so I've gotta ask.
Do we just print them off and do our best to sketch them onto the face of the pumpkin? Or is there some special way of doing it?
Print it out and tape the picture to your pumpkin. First cut out on the lines that border the white areas. Then scratch away the areas that are grey. Another technique is to punch holes along the border of the area you want to cut, then pull the mask away and you'll have the outline, like so. Personally I would probably do that to sketch out every border, then leave the paper beside me as a guide for which areas need to be cut and which need to be scraped. iirc, it's a good idea to start each phase with the small areas first. Having the right tools helps; if you don't have many tools around the house, it might be worth buying a cheap pumpkin stencil kit to get them.
It's not terribly hard though. I thought I did it poorly my first time, but it turned out fine. Just as long as you pay attention to which areas need which treatment. (Also, it's a good idea to start with a simple one as you figure out your technique.)
