Subject: Arthurian Comparison to Halo 3

I had read The Once and Future King which is a novel about King Arthur and I couldn't help but noticing some parallels to Master Chief at the end of Halo 3. King Arthur at the end of the novel goes into a slumber in a magic cave to be reawakened by a bell in the middle of the chamber when humanity and Britain needed him again. I was wondering if anyone else thought that this was similar to how Chief went to sleep in the pod at the end of Halo 3 and Cortana was set to wake him up again when he was needed. Its been a while since I read the book, but if anyone else has had any thoughts on the matter, I'd appreciate them.

I believe that Halo is one of the best stories ever; basically because of how well it conceals histories stories within itself.

Countless allegories still left to be discovered. Bungie are master story tellers and I believe that they just don't get enough credit for it.
