I have been playing for a while but I have a question for the halo Generals that have been playing for a while considering I am I guess a private in the military. HA HA ! I do not understand how someone can pick me off allot of the time from pretty far away with a pistol. For example, In blood gulch when he is mid map away he kills me with 3 or 4 shots and I try the same and it does not show that I have hit him. My targeting seems to be right on him in zoom. any ideas?

have you tried leading your shots? the netcode is fairly screwed up, so you have to lead your shots for the bullets to hit

Gee I wish they spent more time fixing up the older versions than continualy moving on to the newer ones.

This tells me that they do not care for the people with older products and also tells me they are just money hungry for the new products to finish and release.

I enjoy Bungie but your team has to work for all of the games you put out other wise I think you just might be a horrible team.

I hope to see the netcode fixed within the next few months but I doubt it.

BUNGIE YOU HAVE TO FIX THE CODING!

Bungie didn't "make" HaloPC, Gearbox ported the Game from the Xbox to the PC. They didn't do a very good job on the netcode and the result is lag so you have to lead your shots so they will hit. There is a bunch of political BS and agreements that make it so the game won't be corrected ever. So you have to learn to lead your shots if you want to be good. It makes the game a little more challenging and separates the elites from the new guys.

Yup. GearBox screwed up the port. But all in all, it's kind of fun to lead your shots. It does make it more challenging. I only wish meleeing wasn't so much harder than the Xbox version. What's even worse is when, um, have you guys ever shot a rocket at a banshee or warthog and it kept on going unscathed even though the rocket hit the vehicle? It's so freaking retarded! I swear I've shot dozens of banshees and hogs with rockets yet they keep moving unscathed, all thanks to the net code. So although it looks like to you that you shot a banshee with a rocket, which should have killed the pilot, chances are the pilot did not see the rocket hit him, but you did. Yeah, it's pretty screwed up sometimes.

One time, I was playing a game of rockets, right? I got body-shotted by a rocket. But I didn't die. I mean, you know how all the blood splurts out when you hit someone with a rocket? Well that's what happened, a bunch of blood poored out from me as if I had gotten a body shot but I didn't die. Sometimes it's just so retarded.

I mean there's a perfect example right here at the beginning of Pushbak's video, Supermega.

This for Master Kim,

I cannot agree more!!! I don't understand how it happens. I have shot at I don't know how many vehicles and they keep on truck'in. I know I have been only playing for about a year but I even have common sense enough to know they should be dust.

One reason: Lag. You do something, like shoot a rocket at where you think a hog is going. The hog changes course. Before the server can show you where it moved to your computer shows you hitting it with a rocket, but it wasn't really there, so you think you hit it, but the server says you didn't.

Another: I've been the driver in a vehicle that was hit by a rocket. Passenger and gunner died and I got no damage. They were my "meat shield."

How about thsi spybot?? instead of redirecting the OP;'s question to only lag. I myself have noticed there are some people who can just waste you no matter how you move or what you do. And no its not just cause they can lead perfect. everyone makes mistakes except these kinda of players. So whats up? are they ever going to have an anti spybot or auto aim program?? something to ensure the game is fair for everyone??

Maybe they were the hosts of the games you played? That means if they were the hosts, that means they have no lag, and therefore no lag means easier kills.

One reason: Lag. You do something, like shoot a rocket at where you think a hog is going. The hog changes course. Before the server can show you where it moved to your computer shows you hitting it with a rocket, but it wasn't really there, so you think you hit it, but the server says you didn't.

Thank you Simonjester, for clearing that up. I mentioned myself that it was lag which causes you to body shot someone and then not cause a scratch of damage to them.
