Should other weapons change?
You all know that the DMR and Magnum and Needle Rifle have no bloom now well in the TU Playlist.
So what about they change weapons like the spiker and plasma rifle a bit. Like make them do more damage?

Buff the damage on automatic weapons so they have a LITTLE bit of a chance.

That sounds good. Also, off topic, HOLY CRAP, a REAL topic on the Bungie forums!

Better than a little.

Also, Plasma Stun.

Plasma stun?

Plasma Stun was when you were hit by Plasma your movement and turn speed were slowed a bit.

How much is "a bit"? Also, what halo game(s) was this in?

That would make the Plasma Repeater >>>>> the AR if their damage levels stayed at the same level.

I have no problem with this.

AR would tear through Health faster.

I want my version of the AR in Halo though.

Plasma stun is a brilliant idea, it'd really even things up in Invasion as human weapons are just too damn powerful.

Damage buffs couldn't hurt at all, as far as automatic weapons go - in Halo 2, SMG beat BR at close range, in Halo 3 AR beat BR at close/close-medium range but BR always won at mid-range upwards. DMRs win at every range, every time. A little damage buff (say, 15%) would allow a sixteen-shot kill with the AR, meaning a skilled user could down two foes in a single clip without resorting to melee - skill gap can be widened by decreasing bullet magnetism.

Also, how about we adjust the Sniper Rifle to Plasma damage instead of bullet damage and decrease overall damage accordingly? If it did bonus damage to shields but reduced damage to health, it could still allow for one-shot kills to the head against a fully-shielded opponent, but you'd need three body shots otherwise, making it less n00b-friendly and widening the skill gap. This would also have the bonus effect of causing plasma stun, so it'd be easier to land successive shots at the cost of less kills overall for a non-skilled marksman.

Also, how about we reduce bullet damage to vehicles and increase plasma damage? That would even things up in Invasion and give people a reason to actually use plasma weaponry, and mean that the infamous DMR-beats-warthog situation becomes a little less daunting.

Just my suggestions. I think the Sniper Rifle one's got the most potential.

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

Focus rifle could use some love. Just a little extra power and it will actually function like a sniper rifle instead of a long range plasma repeater.

We are not retreating. We are merely advancing in the opposite direction.

I agree with pretty much everything you just said except for the plasma damage. I mean, I'm sure many people would love that, but the plasma is good for taking down shields, not killing people, and the opposite for bullet weapons. If you increased the plasma damage, plasma weapons would be way overused.

That's very true, although I was specifically referring to damage against vehicles rather than infantry: I should have made that clearer.

I think it would even things up to be able to drive around on Big Team maps (Haemmorhage is the most obvious one) without everyone being given a long-range, anti-vehicle weapon at spawn. Vehicles are horribly underpowered in Reach, an it'd give people a reason to actually pick up Plasma weaponry in those game types. It'd also be great in Invasion, Elites really don't have any counters to vehicles at the moment.

Well you could increse damage with the spiker.

Its not my actions that define me, but under what light I'm being looked upon.

Me after a physics lecture "So what you're saying is, non of it actually exists"
Yellow box "and I thought we were crazy"

concussion rifle needs a bigger clip so you can actually use it to effectively bludegeon opponents to death, and perhaps faster projectiles to tip light vehicles on small maps so small maps can have vehicles. anyone else not like the lack of vehicles in team slayer?
