ok i have a router me my brother have halo both bought it so here is my problem - its not my routers fault halo is only game that it happens in. HALO WHEN PLAYED ONLINE BOTH ME AND MY BRO CONNECT THRO ROUTER \ BOTH CANNOT PLAY HALO ONLINE AT SAME TIME \ IT FREEZES THEN CONNECTION LOST. why did i buy halo if it is not gonna work online? bungie should make a patch for this error.

I'm glad you've eliminated your router from the troubleshooting process. Allow me to reintroduce it. Play a game of Halo without the router between your computer and your modem. The problem is likely to go away. This would suggest that the problem is in your router (if the problem doesn't go away, then the problem is indeed elsewhere, as you say). Also, can you play a game of online Halo when just you join the game? In other words, does this only happen when you and your bro are trying to play in the same game? The first thing I would do with a malfunctioning router is to update its firmware. I know you said both you and your bro bought Halo, but be sure you're playing with two unique CD keys. Halo won't let you play in the same game if there are duplicate CD keys in it. Start with that information and let us know about any results.
