Any time you see a post of some guy saying he knows 'stuff' about women/girls in a video game forum, proves he's a liar. Other than the fact that they heard that girls are different, they know nothing.

They can be quite annoying. Theropy is the place for that. Not a video game creator's website.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Rather girls than ponies, IMO.
There could be a lot worse threads in the Flood. The girl advice threads have been increasingly boring lately but some of them still give me good laughs.

I'd prefer we got rid of blogs and relationship advice threads again.

The bloggish type of threads I can see you guys getting rid of. That only makes sense, as that is what Twitter and crap is for. For relationship advice, I can't see two much of an issue. It usually goes one of two ways: The Flood knows The Flood, as we just mildly troll the OP if it is for some ridiculous advice. However, if it is serious, we usually tackle the situation with critical analysis and politely.

Do they even have girls in Norway? I thought it was just dudes and goats or something like that.

Dude this just happened to me. I ain't even joking. Just outside my apartment I saw the hottest thing on two legs I have ever seen.

So there's this girl I saw at the bus-stop today. I really think she might be the one. How do I find her again to make her mine?

What's up with all the -blam!-ing negativity?
Stop it.

It probably has to do with the fact alot of us don't know 'The signs' if a girl likes you...

Usually it's when they tell you that they like you. Or when they say "yes" to being asked out.

But despite the fact that they may get annoying, their ineptitude on the subject shouldnt be reason to lock threads where they ask for advice. Tho there's a lot of comments just saying to stick it in her... well... you know, there's many more that actually try to help.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I do think The Flood is getting better in general. They've made some threads which really approached the line of religious or political, and stayed on topic with little to no flaming. That they can do that now is impressive. I'd actually rather The Flood got some leniency with those kinds of topics, at the cost of getting rid of blogs.
I was very surprised that I saw that happening. The Flood? Growing up? Impossible.

I don't really care if someone makes a girl advice thread, although IMO, it is very embarrassing for the user to post it.

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

Easy way to get a hot topic.

example, this thread.

sad but true.

We need a madness to the method!

I enjoyed the radio comparison I saw on the first page of this thread.

Forums are like radio stations, but if you don't like them you can go to private groups (like a CD collection). (fixed)

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I enjoy the girl advice threads. Not because they have any good advice, but because they are entertaining. The reason i go to the flood is to be entertained, and they succeed in doing that. Sure, they may not be the most productive and intelligent threads out there, but i don't see any harm in them, and i can usually get a good laugh by reading the replies.

If they are bothering you, just chill out. They're only threads, its not like you are forced to click on them or even acknowledge them. There are more than enough threads on the front page to make a couple of girl advice threads seem insignificant.
