Yeah... I'm that cool.
Robot Academy. Kinda sorta the best group on here.

Agreed, I'd much rather have the option to change the timestamp to my local time (GMT+1).

Totally agree with OP. It's annoying for anyone outside the states.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

A good idea, I've never really even paid attention to the time stamps though.

I've been told by people that claim to be smarter than me that the timestamps were purposely designed the way they are in order to allow for the planning of community events for people in different timezonezs.

As I understand it, any deviation from the current standard will result in the end of all community events and, quite possibly, the world.

What community events?
And is it really that hard to say 'X is happening at 13:00 PDT (GMT minus whatever)?

Apparently, yes... Because without a standard timezone for forum timestamps, nobody knows what PDT or GMT mean.

I like the idea. I'm running a script from the script thread that allows you to change the timezone to whatever timezone you are located in. The script works great but I really like your idea for the people who don't have GM.

I demand that my posts' timestamps account for time dilation as I move towards the speed of light.
