Halo3Planet, the place for all things Halo 3..

Need help finding skulls, make sure to go here.

As long as the conversation stays civil and productive, the moderators tend to let things go.

All counter-arguments to evolution are based on a gross misunderstanding of the theory.

Better safe than sorry. Aren't there private groups for the discussion of things that can't be discussed on the public forums?

Perhaps they would be appropriate in the flood, as the flood is so darn skew to the rest of the site. However, religion and politics rouse aggression, which has no place in our community.

When I grow up I want to be bitter and spiteful.

"i liked the reality where everything was on fire better"

I support the allowance of such threads in the hopes that such an act will expose the true nature of these boards.

Achronos has stated many times that he just doesn't want political nor religious discussions on Bungie.net, so it's never going to happen.

Sorry.

Mind bark is the ability to think before acting, foresee issues, and sway others. Like the bark of both trees and dogs, your mind becomes vivid and more callus. Thus, we use "mind bark."

The riddler says a lot of things...

Then again, it is truthful that religious and political discussion is of the most contradictory in nature, thus often leading to turmoil.

Usually yes. But these 2 particular subjects are an exception. Most of the time they result in immediate locking.

Yes, I AM just that awesome.

As long as there is this one Italian user, religious threads will never work.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Not for a looooooooooooong time.

If the conversation is civil and productive, the moderators have no need to let things slide, as the rules would therefor be followed.

The concern is about the inherent dissent caused by religious and political debate. To put it plainly, the tranquility of an environment is disrupted when such rowdy projections are evident.

Therefor, these kinds of debates are not generally accepted on the mains of Bungie.net. There are certain private chapters that discuss these subjects, however. (OP you may want to check them out...)

:)

I can handle political threads in the Flood, but religion? no way.

I can get pretty heated within a debate about religion. I can't really help it, and I know many others are the same. The threads just turn into trolling / people insulting one and another. Never ends well.

Hence we are lathered with the truth. Thus, we do not initiate in religious or political talk.

Sometimes, I really hate the "no politics/ religion" rule. There are times when I wish I could discuss a current event or a news article about it.

If you would like to engage in religious or political discussions there are a lot of political and religious forums online. In addition, you can join or create a private group devoted to these discussions. There are active political and religious groups in B.net.

Because you know, there has never once been a single political or sort of political thread on this site that has managed to stay civil and productive. Not a one.

No. They start too many fights because everybody has different feeling toward different things, especially involving these two particular subjects.

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

There was this one time that I had a religious discussion that was completely civil.

Once.

All the others were flame wars. Do not want.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

Even BiC often turns into a flame-fest. Religious threads have no place in the Flood.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

I'd say no because that will just start even more flame wars.

Only political threads should be allowed in my opinion, this could potentially double the intelligence within the flood. People want to talk about real things, not random questions like "What is your favourite colour?" Politics wold be good on the flood's behalf. Religion being a big no-no though.
