One cool expansion Idea:
Water. Sure, we all know that in Halo you can drive the warthog under the way-cool looking water for miles... but what about boats or swimming or water in Halo 2 (or 3?) think about it guys, it adds a whole new aspect to game play. So my question is this... what would you do if you could make ships, floats, rafts, anything, as well as use water in Multiplayer? how would you incorporate it into the game?

does anyone agree with me that this is a cool idea?

Well since Halo 2 is set on Earth there must be something like submersible battleship carriers. However I think the Master Chief is too heavy to swim. He does better truddling along the sea floor. When I think of D-Day beach-deployment craft, the Pelican immediately replaces it, so no point for sea transports.

Interesting thought... how would plasma fare underwater? I don't think it would do to well. Shotgun would be next to useless. You'd need speargun weaponry, torpedoes instead of rockets.

Dang... that would be a whole new game and the covenant would be at severe disadvantage.

Combat in water would need specially designed vehicles and/or specially designed weapons. It'd be a serious waste of coding unless it was a very important part of the game. They shouldn't do it just to for coolness factors. However, the increased capacity to have amphibean or truly aquatic assaults would be fanatastic, it could add a lot to the game for example if the back end of Zanzibar's fort was open and you could take a water vehicle around the island for a sneak attack.

This would be cool but i wouldn't want an endless expanse of water mabey an island here a group of rocks far out here and a reef there would do the trick
