You're a bit late as others have said, but yes: Halo 2 is missed. A lot.
Luckily 343i has stated a H2 remake is certainly a possibility if demand is high enough, at PAX last summer. My "please give us H2 Anniversary" thread then got to 10+ pages within a day or so over at Waypoint with almost 95% of the posters asking for a H3 remake.
I guess thats a good indication that fans want H2 back with shiny graphics and Live support....so lets see what happens ;)
Halo 2 Anniversary would be such a cheesy game though, because it would look like they're re-doing every game...
Why not just ask them to bring back a H2 Multiplayer, downloadable from the Marketplace? It would include Matchmaking and Custom Games. No graphical update or anything, just some cool H2 stuff back.
No.
H2 would still make sense if it came out on the 360, because then all Halo games would have been brought to the same standards of the same console, all with Live support, all with similar graphics.
Sure: you can play H2 on the 360, but is it a good experience? Not at all. Screen ghosting is just one of the things that ruin the experience. With a remake they could then also FINALLY get rid of all the pop up problems etc that are in the original game.
Besides: the multiplayer of H2 is so big (if you include all maps) that it wouldn't make sense to put it on Live as a downloadable game. It would become too expensive for most people to download, but could be cheap enough (like ODST here in Europe and CEA) to make a nice budget package on disk.
After that: no more remakes, because of said arguments.
