Sorry for wall of text... But this is important.
So I just came out of my Reach game (yes i know this isn't a reach site anymore), and the guy in the game was boosting with 7 afk's. He said, and I quote, "So me and (other guy) are trying to boost achievements, so if you don't leave, we will." I told him no. He said he would hack me. I then proceeded to agitate him the entire game through weakening him and letting the only other live player kill him. Then, he said, "Don't be mad when you don't have an account tomorrow. I'm gonna send microsoft an appeal that says you stole my account, give them your name, and get the account from you." He leaves, sends me a message that says "=)" I then reply with, "Congrats, you know how to use (host booting site)." He replies back with "Idk what you're talking about, why do you keep saying you're gonna hack me?" Made me think he's gonna use this as part of his hacking method.
The main question I have is: Is it possible to hack someone's account through just playing with a person? Entering your info on a website is one thing, but just playing with someone? I don't want to lose my bungie account.

Ask Microsoft.

I don't know. Most threats and empty anyway.

Edit: You should probably make a stronger password though.

No. You're fine. Didn't you notice the smell? I always smell -blam!- when people talk out of their ass.

It's just some punk kid. Don't pay it any mind. The only way for them to ''hack'' you is through social networking (you tell them enough about you to where they can guess your password), pretty much. You know, unless they could enter random characters and guess it, haha.

Dude, no worries. Don't give him your password and you're cool. He's just trying to spook you. He's a tool and you are fine.

BTW- I do the same thing to agitate players who piss me off. . . Weaken their shields and don't betray. Totally pisses them off. Well played.

Common sense, really...

How could he magically "Hack" your account, just by playing with him? Doesn't make sense does it? That's because you can't.

The only true method is Social engineering.

I know it should be common sense, but I've been phished when I didn't know what it was before, not on xbox, recently, and it makes you wonder what exactly is possible. He claimed he could "send in a message to microsoft" and tell them I hacked him to get the account.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

The following will test your susceptibility to being hacked:
1. What is your email address?
2. What is your password?
If you answered either of these two questions, you are probably going to get hacked.

  • user homepage:

probably nothing to worry about.

Phishing is not complicated at all. It gets gullible/stupid people to enter in their info, it's no ones fault, but the person who enters their info. I hope you learned your lesson.

Also, Microsoft can verify whether it's his account or not by the questions they will ask him regarding "your" account. Things like;
-Credit Card #
-Email address
-Password
-Street Address
-Phone #
-Etc...

Which I highly doubt he would know any of those, unless you gave him that info.

I hope this answers your question. :)
