We are all going to get banned aren't we?

And when did anybody say he would?

They weren't going to kill one of the franchise's main characters in a spin-off book.

I love how the UNSC uses Forerunner tech :)

Is the book out?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Came out today.

Might saunter on down to Waterstones on Friday and see if they've got it in stock, then.

This.

Also, I didn't realise this was out, I might have to buy it, although I still have half of GoO to read...

Thats a relief.

Although I'm still no fan of the UNSC recovering so unrealisticly fast, and ONI's schemes etc which allow them to be in Halo 4 (which should just be Chief and Cortana without any familiar backup for at least 1 game), this at least means Arbiter can potentially be brought back.
And if familiar stuff is being brought back, I'd sure as hell would like to have Arbiter as a playable character again. Which would finally bring more depth to the story which H3 was lacking.

Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

The Arbiter dies D:

WHAT!

Good to know.

I'm really enjoying it so far, but I especially loved the 2001 reference, and the Halo-theme reference. Still haven't spotted the Red vs. Blue Easter Egg yet though.

Hooray for inconsistency!

Finished a quick breeze through the story and I saw a mention of Spartan 4's!

I spotted it. Blarg! Can you tell me about the 2001 and halo theme reference though because I didn't catch them.

Also that has got to be the worst ten minutes of Halseys life near the end. Getting punched by lucy, verbal attacks from Mendez, finding out John and Cortana are MIA (she believes dead), finding out Miranda is dead and getting arrested kinda sucks. At least she found out that Naomi was still alive though.

I hope Doctor Halsey escapes and Parangoski dies. Common abject testament! Help Doctor Halsey!
I wish her spartans had just liberated her.

Plus he is one of the my favourite characters. He has one of the most, interesting character changes and development in Halo.

If you'll recall when Mal and Vaz are passing notes to each other via palm writing, Vaz writes

Vaz: "no more. Lip read please."

Mal: "No, you saw the old movie; BB will space us."

That old movie is 2001, where Hal 9000--the AI--is reading the lips of two of the astronaughts and promptly kills one of them by ejecting him out the airlock.

The Halo theme reference was when Mal mused to himself that, for all he knew, Phillips could've been listening to Gregorian chant on his ear buds.

Still haven't finished the book, plan to do so today.
