Subject: Inspiration behind creating a thread.

The Stig is dead to me
-Carrick

what inspires you to create a thread on Bnet?

It may be that you experience something interesting in your day that gets you thinking "Man, I might just make a thread about this." Or do you just read something that sparks an idea you think is worth discussing?

For me I just browse the forums, and sometimes random questions pop up in my head and make me wonder what other people may say about it. So you'll notice in most of my threads that they will have an overall question.

So tell me, what inspires you?

I don't make threads, unfortunately. I am a very boring and uncreative individual.

I don't really make threads, unless I've a good question to ask or really have something on my mind.

Key

I have, on occasion, said "Okay, I'm bored, time to make a thread." It is those situations in which I usually get hot topics funnily enough. When I make a legitimate suggestion for the site, I get like 10-15 responses all saying it's a good idea and then it diesz.

I rarely make a thread because people usually do before me. Thus a question I might have gets answered for me.

Same here.

When I do make my yearly thread, its usually because I found something that I thought was entertaining somewhere on the Internet, and wanted to share it. It usually gets maybe 4 replies before it falls into eternity.

Lier.

When I usually make a thread something had motivated me to make that thread. Like if my recent thread about a Bungie Employee being a guest speaker at my school. I was motivated that day and when I saw Urk post, I found it to be the right time to make the thread. Other times I need information or feedback.

I've probably made ~10 threads in the last year. Ignoring those that were made for moderation purposes, they have all been created to develop ideas or arguments - and perhaps also to vent a bit!

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I create a couple threads now and then and promptly forget about them after a day or so because they drop off the front page. However, I have had two or three threads reach over 20 pages, but they were super controversial and really riled up part of the community. Mostly, I don't get past 15 replies. :(

I ussualy make a thread, either to ask a question, or to express an Idea.

Edit: If Spartainken 15 comments on this, Ignore him, He just posts like a bot.

(just some advice)
I think he's banned anyway...

What a hipster.

Including the Weekly Reviews I've made about 8 threads total since I've joined the site.

If I feel a threads necessary, I'll make it.

I very rarely create new threads, mainly because I'm not particularly creative, and the majority of threads I do think of have already been created, so there is no need to create a new thread for it.

If I do think of an original thread, the inspiration is pretty similar to this. I just think of a question randomly, usually while browsing B.net, and post it if I feel it could stimulate interesting discussion, or if it's an important question.

There is just something epic about pistols.

I don't make threads all that often, but when I do it is generally on The Flood. The main reason is because I am either curious about what a large group of people think about something, or I just want the answer to a question.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I like discussing news stories. If I see something interesting in the news, I'll post it. If I want to discuss an issue, I'll post it. If a random question goes through my mind, I'll often post it.

I tend to create fun and idiotic threads to get the community together for some laughs.

I rarely make threads. If I do, it's usually something that I put no thought into and edit almost immediately after creating it.

I don't often make threads. I know one thing, though. Never making a thread concerning Journey again. The only song that most people know by them is "Don't Stop Believin'", so all they do is quote it. :|

I usually don't create threads anymore. When I have made them in the past though they have normally been to get clarification on something...or suggest really bad ideas.

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

My few threads have been to ask questions of the community (three or four of my threads have been those), do a little observation and reporting (see my signature), or misc.

Thoughts always just pop into my head, and if they stick with me, I ask myself if they're good enough to become a thread. I'm happy to report I've only ever regretted making one of my threads.

If I make a thread, it's to take the piss.

I don't really post threads very often, mainly because I can never get across what I'm trying to say without sounding pretty stupid. I mainly make threads if I have an idea that I haven't seen anyone else come up with.
