Subject: I've recently found something disappointing about CEA's Cla...

I was watching this video of CEA (skip to 4:08 in), when i noticed something about the classic mode, which i honestly thought would still be there like it should be.

The classic mode is missing the original game audio. When the game is turned to classic mode, the remastered gun sounds are still there, which i honestly find slightly disappointing.

I am still looking forward to its release, but i didn't realize that if i wanted to play on the original graphics layer, the new audio will still be there? I'm assuming it won't be fixed because it's too close to its release now.

Thoughts?

There will be an option in the main menu to use either the remastered or original audio. It's a bummer that it doesn't switch in-game but I'm glad they gave us the option.

Actually, I think they said that that's only for the music.

I hope it's as customizable as Halo PC. Turn off the music, only get gameplay sounds. That would make my day.

No, it's not. Plasma_Dragon said he wanted to be able to switch to the original gameplay audio, specifically to use the old gun sounds. You said that it was possible because there was an audio swap option.

But if that audio swap option was only for music, and not for gameplay sounds, then your claim is wrong, as it fails to address the type of audio that the OP wants to switch.

Generally speaking, I include music in Audio. Maybe that's just me, but whatever. All of the original music/sound effects will be switched with that option. Relax. 343i has their bases covered with this one.

I know. I do too.

My entire point is that 343i has stated that they might not have their bases covered as much as you think they do. Unless they've said otherwise since Halofest, there's a very good chance that the audio toggle will be music-only.

My Halo 3 service record has several things that are incorrect. My KD is above 1.0 in both ranked and social, and I am a much higher rank. Also I have several perfections and my "player since" date is wrong because I have had Halo 3 since the launch date in 2007 (september 25 I think).

It was released in the wave of videos that came out a few days ago; a few of the clips in it are old, but I think the clip the OP is referring to is making its first appearance.

In any case, it doesn't matter when it was made; we've known since the beginning that the Anniversary/Classic graphics toggle was never going to switch sounds, and we've known since Halofest that even the menu audio toggle is likely only going to switch music.
