actually there is not gonna be flood cuz the ark blew up with the first ring meaning flood vanish "i think.." and maybe there still survivors of the forerunner :\
as far as I know, the space around the Milky Way may be full of Flood
The flood are still on the remaining rings and other installations.
They have extragalactic origins.
I think i understood that in IRIS,halo 3,and Cryptum so tell me something the average asshat doesn't know.
The flood are still contain on the remaining rings, research installations, and a few shields worlds out of the hundreds could have been infected.
And in outer galaxy space there are the possibility to have hundred of bilion of Flood ready to invade the galaxy. The containment protocol of Forerunners is inefficent, Flood are spread in three occasions (Shield World of SoF, Installation 04, Mona Lisa incident) despite all the precautions taken by Forerunners. The containment is not sure.
You are being childish. This isn't Warhammer, If there WERE that many flood waiting then they would have came right after the array was fired or a little later.
Not to mention that the flood would not be able to survive for so long especially in such conditions without a massive food source.
The containment IS sufficient seeing how we only have 1 account of the flood getting out due to mechanical error.(Which is still raising eyebrows and odd)
Flood aren't contained on shield worlds (hence the name) thus the flood on halowars were left over from some battle.
Installation 04 was clearly effed up because of the covenant, if you played the game you would know that.
And ONI brought the flood onto the ship to study it in "The Mona Lisa" and that is how it got FUBAR.
So the only incident you have of containment not working is installation 5. Even then we think that it wasn't a mechanical error (Despite the report) but the Timeless one interfering.
