I think i understood that in IRIS,halo 3,and Cryptum so tell me something the average asshat doesn't know.

The flood are still contain on the remaining rings, research installations, and a few shields worlds out of the hundreds could have been infected.

And in outer galaxy space there are the possibility to have hundred of bilion of Flood ready to invade the galaxy. The containment protocol of Forerunners is inefficent, Flood are spread in three occasions (Shield World of SoF, Installation 04, Mona Lisa incident) despite all the precautions taken by Forerunners. The containment is not sure.

You are being childish. This isn't Warhammer, If there WERE that many flood waiting then they would have came right after the array was fired or a little later.
Not to mention that the flood would not be able to survive for so long especially in such conditions without a massive food source.

The containment IS sufficient seeing how we only have 1 account of the flood getting out due to mechanical error.(Which is still raising eyebrows and odd)

Flood aren't contained on shield worlds (hence the name) thus the flood on halowars were left over from some battle.

Installation 04 was clearly effed up because of the covenant, if you played the game you would know that.

And ONI brought the flood onto the ship to study it in "The Mona Lisa" and that is how it got FUBAR.

So the only incident you have of containment not working is installation 5. Even then we think that it wasn't a mechanical error (Despite the report) but the Timeless one interfering.

What evidence is there that shows the flood wont for sure be in halo 4? If they survived the first firing of the halo ring the real question is whether or not they can really be obliterated

you can clearly see flood infected forerunner ships in the concept art video. And they didn't survive the first ring since they were contained on the halos when it went off.

The point is, it has a 90% chance of it mainly being flood.

Yeah, if 343 wants bad reviews and disappointment among the community.

Your attitude is atrocious. The Flood is acceptable addition to the Halo 4 because the Flood aren't done. Remember Halo 3? Yeah. Gravemind said that it only delayed the time. As Grey said, you should read the books.

So, therefore: I suspect that Forerunners, Flood, (probably Timeless one) and machines will be in Halo 4.

The Flood is not able to survive? Wait... 100.000 years in ibernation is not sufficent for think they are able to survive in all conditions?
And all of this spreading is not contemplate by Forerunners? They thinking the Installations are builded for a specifical case: eliminate an vast Flood infestation of galaxy size.
If the Forerunners can not think the humans or the covenant can liberated the Flood...
I remain in my position: Containment is not sufficent and not sure. And i think in Halo 4 the Flood is the main threat we have to face.

You do understand halo operates by destroying everything that is and can be infected so the infection forms (which aren't destroyed by the array) starve? THAT is how halo works, the flood that are in containment aren't affected because they are locked down by some slipspace mechanism.

And the flood in Halo 2 were out for 10,000 years not 100,000. The "Forerunners" clearly thought we could defeat the flood if they left all of their tech for us to use and your point doesn't stand because you have messed up several times now.

I know this, but the Flood in quarantine are survive without "food" for so long time.
Even the Floods on the external surfice of the Shield World are survived without any sentient life forms to infected. This, before the arrive of the Covenant and UNSC right.

They are living because they are a slipspace time along with putting them in hibernation. Hence why they flood forms were said to be tired and weak in "The Flood".

Um There is wildlife all around that shield world and inside and that is what was sustaining the biomass.

Yes! Maybe not 100.000 years, but 10.000 are much years, this life form is incredible strong, and damn stubborn.

I'm so tired of the Flood. It's been in 4 games, 5 if you count CEA. It's just too stale at this point. They need something fresh.

And you do know that the rings have life forms stored on them that would feed the flood for that long so your entire point is just made from insufficient data.

Still too early to tell. Halo:Glasslands added much more mysteries into the fray, and I wouldn't be surprised if MC actually found himself at Sanghelios.

The flood have an ability to survive. They have been kept alive on other installation but who is to say they may have survived on some other planets, somehow out of the rings radius.

They are stubborn and will try to survive, but they can escape and pass through protocols. Remember not all forerunner installations were fool proof, some showed signs of the flood breaking through, installation 5 and the shield world.

Whereas some like installation 4 showed the ability of the forerunner protocol in full effect only to be hampered by humans.

You only have to look at Halo Wars/Mona Lisa/Origins I and II, in order to see that the Flood are capable of providing us with a varied and fresh experience. The main trilogy didn't expand upon them that much, granted, but outside of them we have seen new forms and appearances. The possibilities are there, and I'm sure 343 would progress the Flood a great deal for the next trilogy.

Also, we know that there will be a completely new enemy to fight, regardless.
