Practice leading.

Throw to center or lower half of mass.

If it lands on the ground and they drive or walk over it, it'll stick about half the time.

if sticking somong on foot try leading the perons you want to stick then aim a little higher then they stand then toss it. with hogs i wait till the last second before they try to run me over then jump to the side and toss a stick on them as they go by.

Look at my video here. It shows a Plasma 'nade party on Hang 'em High. Look carefully at the scenes where an opponent and I (X[IGN], to be exact) are strafing with each other, before he lands a sticky nade on me. Look how far I have to lead the nade. Nades are the slowest weapons in the game, therefore, they need a considerable lead on your desired target.

Also check the video here, and you'll see what I mean about having to lead the nades.

Go for a stick in the area of the torso, since it's pretty much the largest and biggest part of the body. Leading your throws like leading your shots helps. If it's Halo 1, it's easier, since Chief looks like he just got through 5 packs of a dozen twinkies unlike Halo 2 chief, he looks like he really liked Blow-Flex Extreme.

when goin against a banshee be shure to aim over and ahead of it. and for a ghost, you can sometimes stick one and then crouch under it as it goes bye

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one, Wslp. In Halo 2 it's easier, because of the auto-aim, and Halo 2's Spartan is actually much bigger compared to his surroundings than Halo 1's Spartan is to his surroundings. Compare Midship to Hang 'Em High for example. Halo 2's maps are shorter, so that means it's easier for a plasma grenade to stick to his opponent.

like the others said, lead off when you throw, aim for the torso, and stay mobile.

sometimes if you stick a hog or a tank right on the edge, the explosion won't always kill them. when sticking vehicles, always try to double stick. dodge at the last second when they're charging, stick em, then stick em again as they drive away. a guarrenteed kill.

for the best practice, start up a game that has infinite gernades and practice sticking people.

LMFAO!!! omg, i cant believe i laughed this hard today. out of all days, i laughed like a maniac TODAY. hahaha! i gotta hand it to ya WsLp, that was good. that joke made my day. xD

and to sticking nades, try throwing the nade at least one inch (one inch as in your monitor distance) from your opponent as he sidesteps in one direction (you have to sidestep the way he does too, and try to be at least about 1 or 2 halo yards away from the opponent for that 1 inch trick to work) ;)

Honestly, there's no point in sticking unless you're out of ammo.

Well, yeah autoaim helps, but Midship and Hang 'Em High are way too different to be compared. Midship I think is tiny. Hang 'Em High was bigger for me. Also it was an open map, in Midship, if you time it right, you can just throw a plasma at a wall and your enemy would just run into it. Midship is too damn packed, you have a sword, you have half of the game almost done if you are good with it.

Or if you want ot show them your skills for bragging rights, I mean come on it takes skills to stick someone with a nade, espically at far away.

Okay then, let me rephrase that. Sticking is a decent way to get kills, but my point is you shouldn't make it backseat to regular shooting and nading.

That's my point! All the Halo 2 maps are smaller in comparison with Halo Combat Evolved maps.
