THE FLOOD was awful! I read that book so fast only so I could finish it. The fall of reach was awesome and I just started first strike (which is looking good!)

The flood was only mediocre cause I've already finished the game (extreme multiples of times) and the First Strike was an awesome book, but Fall of Reach takes my angel white frosting strawberry on top whipped cream cake because it has the Chief's past in it..and now I feel like I grew up wit the guy I don't think I could ever have another favorite game character.

fall of reach definitly is the best. I liked the flood becaus of the side storyline of the marines that wasn't in the game. That was cool.

the ones by eric nylund (sp) (the fall of reach, first strike) are great..
the flood was just killing in not great detail so it was just okay

personally i dont like nylund's writing style, he changes too many things and bends the facts of Halo. i like how in the flood u got to see the story from the covie's point of view.

I've read First Strike and thought it kicked ass. I haven't read Fall of Reach yet but it's probably just as good. I'll pass up The Flood I completed the game and I don't like books where I already know what all happens.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

TFoR is by far the best.... with FS in second. The reason I am not a fan of TF is because it's the game. For one...it's a different author and I wasn't crazy about his writing form. Also, I LOVED the parts describing the Helljumpers and Marines at thier base...and I liked the Covie aspect. But I simply HATED reading about MC and the game....I found myself wanting to skip but forced myself not to since I had vowed never to do that in a book..... that's the only reason I'm not liking TF too much. The parts abotu the surviving humans though was excellent.

I thought the flood was horrible, The Fall of Reach kicked ass though, and First strike was good, I just like FOR the best.
