MROS (Mindless Rabble of Scientists) - A group to discuss any aspect of science

Posted by: R3ACTlON
Hard is good.

It was on a ride, therefore no pictures.

Being English it was surprising to go to a place (Florida) where people actually care about creating costumes, but eh, it was cool.

Anyway I'm short-sighted, so much credit for actually realising someone was wearing a costume meant to resemble chief from far away, maybe I'm just a little secretly obsessed (These are staring at me from my shelves)

I went up to him and asked him if what he was wearing was meant to be Master Chief, he said yes, so I proceeded to shake his hand and told him that it was awesome. After making some random guy's day I realised that such a Halo fan may have an account here, but alas no, he did not.

I was a tad disappointed that I didn't run into one of you guys in some random place in the world, but it made me think that Halo's fanbase is huge, no one has to be a true fan to have signed up here (this statement is better a while ago before the split blah blah blah). Do you remember before you even signed up here when you would be able to instantly state your favourite game?

I remember the times before I had a Bungie.net account.
I don't get what you mean by "when you would be able to instantly state your favorite game".
I can still tell you what my favorite game (so far) is.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

That would explain why I seen your mom there....

Anyways, that's freakin' awesome. I've secretly have always wanted to run into someone that frequents here; alas my wants usually turn out similar to yours.

I don't remember much of before I signed up to B.Net - six years is a long time man!

Best of random chance

I live in Florida, and was not aware that people actually care about making costumes, or the fact that it was location specific.

Any Haloween deals for costumes to get into the theme parks at a discount maybe?

That's pretty cool Storm.

We were somewhere around Barstow...

I'd go as far as saying 99% of Halo fans have never once been on B.net forums.

OK, maybe not 99% but probably at least 75%.

Yeah, the B.net is more filled with awesome people that have played Bungie games. Discluding the trolls.

Bungie should host a B.net get together some day.

Edit: Just imagine people wearing name-tags that say "Hello my name is Izak609/ArmourElite/..."

I met Steve Downes at Halofest. Had him sign a poster of Master Chief.

Oh definitely. I loved Halo 2 and Halo 3. I don't think I even made an account until after ODST was released.

What a hipster.

Hope you had a better time with this guy than you did with Mr. French from the last story.
