Help anyone? I recently got a new computer, and upgraded to 64bit Windows. When I try to open Halo 2 the only thing that happens is that the screen resolution changes to 1024x768 and crashes to desktop. I've tried reinstalling Halo 2, changing comp[atability settings, updating windows LIVE before I install, but it just refuses to work.

Can someone help me out? My specs are

Core i7 920 @ 2.67ghz
nVidia Geforce 9800GT
6GB of RAM

and if it's any important, I have more than one HDD but when I do the installation process I just leave it to the default program files folder in C.

Well here is a suggestion, open the NVIDIA Control Panel and select "Manage 3 D Settings",select the Program Settings tab.now you will see the "Select a program to customize",now select the Halo 2 program and adjust the setting to suit your needs,I would google the best settings as it maybe different for your machine and graphics card..I hope this is of some help...and as Grumpy states try the Halo PC forum as they are well up on this subject.Good luck

Make sure you run the program as Administrator!

Yes, I AM just that awesome.

I honestly think your specs might be too high.

Halo 2 has problems with some 64 bit versions of Win7, and it's possible that may be the cause. Try running it in compatibility mode for WinVista.
