Sturgeon's Law applies to so much. I would not consider this a problem, but in fact a benefit, as it allows us to greater appreciate well-crafted topics.
Just for the sake of petty criticism, a lot of what you said is simply dumb, and, lololol, illogical.
Quality of discussion is unrelated to logic. There are many wholly sound threads of logic with no discussion value or generated interest. Sometimes even comical and illogical slip-ups can make the best of threads.
Additionally, you speak of holding the thread authors accountable for the lack of thorough structure to a thread. What gives a thread often great opportunity
for discussion is not its overflowing quantities of information, but its lack thereof. What is needing can be provided by the responding users, thus
generating worthwhile discussion. Threads with four word OPs can provide the most riveting of intellectual conversation.
I do not see how a topic with a small amount of information can be 'riveting' at all. I recall that 'Christian allegory' topic and truthfully, the author is a genius. He not only researched his topic thoroughly, but when he wanted to get his message across, it was done with near perfection.
