Legitimate is correct.

OP needs to grow up a little, team killing for stupid reasons are part of why Halo is going to the -blam!-er. Camping is a legitimate tactic, sword is a weapon available to all, and so is the shotgun, if you team kill because he is helping your ass win that game, you are an idiot.

Camping.

It's a legitimate strategy.

depends, if the guy was camping in a place where he can be usefull fair enough. But i've been people just grab power weapons and outright hide on maps like spire. They are teh ones who should die.

As a final note OP, someone's K/D is not a complete account of how well of a player they are - There are many more factors than just a big K/D to be "pro". A good player must also keep his team in mind, make sure that the team is safe at all times, and above all, NOT betray players on the same team, regardless of whether it's for a weapon or personal issues.

You show none of those qualities, as you betray players on your own team if they're not playing the way you explicitly you want them to play it. They bought the game, they'll play it the way they want to.

You're not game police, neither are you authority, so stop acting like one before you get matched against someone who is a pro, and agrees with what I had typed in this thread, to proceed to wipe your rear with the floor in a round of customs.

LOL so basically if I'm not the team nanny, I'm a bad player. K then. You keep telling yourself that.

And I betrayed one person today out of hours upon hours of play because he exhibited piss-poor sportsmanship and decided to camp in a corner pretty much doing nothing instead of helping his team. You can say I don't help my team by going for kills in objective, but if you look at my game history, I win the majority of games that I DO play. Games in which I sign out at the pre-game lobby for sake of unwanted map/gametype combo or unfair matchup shouldn't count towards one's WLP, but they do, so I have to manually estimate my winning percentage based on games that I play. Games that I leave usually end up with my team losing, proving to some extent the effectiveness of slaying in any game mode. TLDR: I'm not bad, you're just trying to scrape out a poor rebuttal to a legitimate statement/opinion, and you're failing miserably at it.

Finally, I'm not the police, but I do assert my right to condemn acts of cowardice that I deem unsuitable for my team. Considering my camping teammate wasn't exactly taking strides to lead the team by not having a mic to communicate and camping, I took up the responsibility of being the team trendsetter myself. Specifically, by way of buckshot.

Problem?

Nanny? Wow way to take one thing and make an exaggeration of it.

Winning games has very little to do with how good of a player you are. As I already said (but you ingored stupidly as usual and went on waffling about how important your game wins are), being a decent player comes hand in hand with NOT betraying your team, regardless of what they're doing, weapon stealing, camping or otherwise.
tl;dr: You're ignoring what I said and trying to hold your ego high while calling my thoughtfully typed arguments as rebuttals just because I don't like seeing that there are players that willingly one-down their team by betraying someone who is on their team.
And as such you're not a good player. You have such a crappy sportsmanship, it's unbelievable why you even play team based games.
Hey, if you whine about playing on a team of "retards who camp", why don't you go and play FFA?

Good, you now know that you're not the game police, now realize this: Stop attempting to police the actions of other players on your team. You have no responsibility other than to make sure that you play as a team player and not a betraying backstabber.

Yes, I do have a problem, with your idiocy and downright hypocrisy. "Oh, I hate campers they play the game wrong so I'll BETRAY them, because betrayals aren't playing the game wrong at all, nooooo! I'm king here, I'm the ultimate rule here, if I don't like how you play in this game I'll give you a death sentance via betrayal, so you better not think of employing any map control!"

Simply astonishing as to how inbred you're trying to act like.
Personally I don't like campers, but I know not to be someone who has terrible sportsmanship and betray those who don't play the way I want them to.
But go ahead, say again what you've been spewing out in this thread for the past couple of days, same old same old stuff about you thinking that campers aren't playing the game properly but you think that you betraying them is.
Inb4 tl;dr. If you do, it'll prove just how short your foresight is. It'll also prove how hilariously dumb you are, for someone who has such a high KDr, you shur r dawmb compaerd 2 en averaj playa, hurrr!

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

What do you want me to do with a close-quarters weapon? Challenge snipers in an open field?

Betraying is a bit much, I might give em a good whack just to remind them they're playing like a -blam!-

I hate people like you, betray your teammates for a gun or sword. They got it first.

Read the OP a little more carefully before replying. They betray not because they want their weapon, but because they don't approve of the way they play.

It's a legitimate strategy.

I get such a kick at how people have taken a phrase that shows the pettiness and ineptitude of gamers and made it some kind of war cry. They throw around "strategy" like they're the next great general.

Can you imagine Sun Tzu reacting to this?

"So... they squat down and they hope the enemy will pass them? I give that role to my worst soldiers. The ones in whom I place no confidence. If they're not available, then I use my army's dog!"

Wow not only are u team betraying scum, but ur super-egotisical mannerisms are completly out of whack, when looking at ur reach stats someone might think ur a bamf, have aim-bot,etc, but then i looked at ur kd ratio by playlist and its very highly inflated by games like team objective, dont get mad bc someone plays differently than u, i hate the way u play maybe everyone should betray u instead, get over it ur not the reach police and go play ffa bc NO ONE wants a betraying *blam!* on their team

This is just like when I got betrayed in a game of invasion slayer on Hemorrhage just cause I kept picking up sniper ammo and hanging out in the back of my base. I got 30 odd kills, and some jackass on my team runs up and kills me. No reason for it, didn't even take the sniper rifle.

I just got booted for doing so, but it was worth it. I found my teammate camping twice, the second time I tked him, I threw his sword off the map. Problem solved. Play fair or go home.

I want to encourage everyone to do the same. Please do your part to enforce good gameplay and send these Ghost Pro spillovers from Black Ops back where they came from!

I lolled

I hope you teabagged them

  • 10.31.2011 8:48 AM PDT

I'll melee my team-mates if they're sitting in one spot too long crouched and obviously not AFK.

I will especially do it if they have active camo AND are crouching with the sniper and camp the respawn while they proceed to get one or two snipes. That just tickles me pink. You better believe that's a paddlin'. Not gonna betray. But you know it's pretty hard to snipe when you can't scope in. *wink* *wink*

Good snipers rotate to compliment their team's position. If you need to crouch and be invisible and immobile to snipe, you are not good with that weapon.

So staying in the power position with the maps best power weapon in camping..?

Setting up is camping?

  • 10.31.2011 10:09 AM PDT

Camping is sitting in a corner of a hallway, in hopes that someone may pass by and getting maybe 5 kills the whole game. It means not being there to team-shoot.

You better believe that's a paddlin'. It's selfish and it's far from strategic.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Listen to yourself.

Talkin about, how people shouldn't try to police the actions of other players in the game.

Tell that to Bungie when they made this stupid -blam!- quit ban that goes after people for quitting out on people like the OP.

Yes, I would quit on the OP in a -blam!- heartbeat. Less even.
Rack up 1 point towards probation!

Has anyone started to notice how every problem always seems to come back to the idea that Matchmaking is a pile of -blam!-. The quit ban just pissed all over that pile of -blam!-. And they don't even have the decency to give us a spoon to eat it with. By spoon, I mean Server Browsers.
