the M6D is not a noob weapon, its a good one, but i am just trying to help this guy whos pissed off about the M6D with a strategy...

...any weapon works with stealth, but you need to keep the weapons limitations in mind. like with an MA5B, throw a grenade first...

...90% of the time because i use it alot. 9 out of 10 times--almost 9 out of 10--it works the best against people...

...sorry if i stated it in the wrong way...

...and i will use the edit more often i am very sorry. i know you are very pissed off at me for not knowing how to not piss off people master kim...

...i am a shamefull man...

LOL. Some say you're a noob if you don't use the pistol.

I met played these two guys, right? They were the best with the pistols, I swear. I was tempted several times to call them cheaters and leave, but I knew better. My teammates kept coming and going, because it was a game of two versus two. These guys were seriously good with pistols, they could kill a person as long as that person was within range. But I got a lot of good kills off of them too. Those guys were the best I've ever played against. But now that I think about it, one of them probably just had host. If you're host, there's no lag. No lag, and there's nothing stopping you from becoming the god of the map and owning everybody you see.

I see why you all like the pistol, and i now agree yes it does take some skill to use if you know how, but you can't say the shotgun doesn't take skill on Blood Gulch? Personally i use sniper and shotgun, and i just think the pistol is no FUN. I can't stand it when im being shot at by someone 'skillfully' using the pistol, when they are hiding and shooting people. And unlike the sniper, and most other guns, you can't see where the bullets are coming from.

And don't call me 'noob' or 'kid' cos im not a child and i rule!!!! lol

I would like to point out that anyone using a single weapon in Halo to gain large numbers of kills is NOT a n(ew person to playing Halo) but instead is an (aforementioned single weapon) whore. There is a large difference, mainly the n(ew person to playing Halo) will be easily defeated by a more skilled/experienced player while a (single-weapon) whore usually has great amounts of skill in using that weapon, often in cheap but effective tactics.

For example: calling someone a rocket n(ew person playing halo) in Danger Canyon is stupid, as a n(ew person playing halo) wouldn't know WHERE the rocket launcher is found.

For example: spamming a spawn point in Sidewinder with a fuel rod is not being a n(ew person playing halo), the point being he can evade those deadly pistols people start off with.

As said before, people who use a pistol a lot for kills are not n(ew people playing halo) but pistol whores.

The ONLY time I find it acceptable to call someone a n(ew person playing halo) is when they do something considerably stupid, eg rod themself off a cliff, rl a wall point blank, drive off the side in geyrophobia, stand still firing an AR at random people in an oddball match then getting melee'd in the back EVEN THOUGH THERE IS FRIGGING RADAR ON and so forth.

Also, when people call me a n(ew person playing halo) I laugh at them and say "Haha, you got beaten by a n(ew person playing halo)".

It irritates them no end.

Man, if people keep saying what they don't like about other Halo players, you guys will be playing by yourselves. Remember that episode of south park where they kept taking stuff out of the christmas play, so they wouldn't offend anybody? That is what this reminds me of. I host a halo game every night and a lot of the same people join.

I have people that do stupid crap like sit with the tank in the corner by the mountain by the blue base and just shoot people as they come in. One guy in particular always does this and I always tell him I am going to take his tank away and I do, lol!

It can just be a another challenge for me. I don't ban people for doing N**BISH things. There is always another way to defeat your opponent.

ok right, this has prob been spoken about countless times before but i am new to the forums.
When i call people a Noob for using pistol, i either get a response along the lines of 'Theyr'e part of the game loser' or 'yeah i agree sorry'.
I think that pistol is the biggest noob weapon ever, it only takes 5 body shots with sheilds and without sheilds 3, and i think it takes no skill to hold down the trigger and blast off a whole clip at someone from the cliffs, and expect them to have a chance when they have just spawned. Some people use pistol ALL the time, and they just run up to you shooting and WIN when you have selected skillfull weapons such as the plasma pistol and shotgun.
Sometimes i feel the only way to beat them is to join them.
Veiws on pistol online???

The pistol in the sniper take the most skill to use in Halo. I don't know what you are talking about. The only noob weapon is the FRG.

The FRG is not technically a noob weapon. Why? I've encountered tons of idiots that don't know how to use it properly. What do I mean? They'll dispense half the battery trying to kill me, but instead hit the ground/walls behind me, to the side, way in front, etc, instead of hitting near my feet.

4 or 5 shots with my pistol later, I now have a half-depleted FRG at my disposal.

Believe it or not, the FRG and the SPNKr DO take skill to use.

I can see your point, and I do think that the shotgun takes skill to a degree, but the pistol is a great weapon. It is not unfair, anybody can get to it. Most of the times, you spawn with it. If you think the pistol is unfair, it isn't. It's supposed to be a good weapon that can turn the tide of the battle. You can use it too, if you haven't noticed. Don't think "giving in" to use the pistol is a dirty concept. It's a good, balanced weapon which you should use yourself. I use the shotgun and sniper rifle as well, but I could never own so many people without my trusty pistol.

And so what if you can't see where the bullets are coming from? You're complaining about something that should probably be so. Halo PC would be quite ridiculous if every single shot fired in the game left a giant trail which all can see. That's the risk you take when you use the sniper rifle, because a good player will know where your shots came from.

I didn't see you complain about not seeing where the bullets are coming from, allow me to address that now:

So what? You don't need to see where the bullets come from. Why? Because when you get shot, you can hear the direction the bullets come from, along with the GIANT RED ARROW that appears on the screen to tell you which direction it came from. Then, you turn to see where it is, and now you can see the opponent's muzzle flashing, but now it's too late, because I've already fired 4 shots at you and you're dead. So don't worry about being shot from behind, you won't live long enough to retaliate.

Thank you, I couldn't put it better myself. Please give the pistol a chance. So it's different than most games, because in Halo, the pistol is actually good. I bet you've played dozens of games and go "Psh, the pistol? I'm going for the automatic rifle!" but in Halo, my friend, it is the other way around. Halo does with 10 weapons than most games do with 28 and a nail clipper.
