Has anyone noticed the sheer use of irony in the universe.

The engineer was the first creature to kill a human, when they are the most peaceful.

Orbital Stations on Earth were to protect it from any covenant fleet, it later shows it can not do such a thing.

Kat get shot in the head for being too smart.

343 tries to help the John by trying to activate the Halo and kill everyone.

Ark is destroyed by what it makes (halo rings)

The brutes not the elites started the first conflict.

There are so many of these in the universe that i don't but it feels like irony has become an integral part of halo.

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

Only when no Human brick is left atop another, shall we be satisfied with your destruction.

The first one is a little ironic I suppose, John helping 343 activate Halo "to destroy the Flood" is arguably a case of dramatic irony, but the others are not ironic at all.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I think it would be ironic if our guns didn't shoot bullets, but instead squirted a healing salve that cured all wounds!
