The story behind the idea; as seen in Weekly Review 1.
Lately I've noticed an uproar in complaints about users wanting the weekly updates back, but the fact of the matter is Bungie is dark, and I anticipate they're going to stay that way for some time. So I thought, "if we can't have the Weekly Update, why don't we put together the next best thing?" A Weekly Review where the members can interact, and add what they feel was important or funny in the weeks past.
I know it's not as exciting, but it's better than nothing.
We've decided on the new format. Thanks for all the PM input =).
The Weekly Write-Up:Thanks to Rokit.
Good Afternoon,
I would first like to apologize for the lateness of this posting. I admit that it is mainly my own doing - all we needed was a write-up and I just haven't had the time. So here's to a quick - hopefully even entertaining - review that we can be proud of showing you.
Before I completely begin though, I would like to do a shout out - to you. We're looking for help, and you're the perfect candidate. If you've kept up with us, you'd notice that the majority of our threads of the week are in The Septagon. Sure there's one or two threads coming from The Flood every now and then, but isn't this supposed to be a Community thing?
So, what exactly am I asking you? Not very much at all really, just a simple C&P of a URL in a PM (Rokit's PM box). Anything you find interesting, entertaining, obligitory, satire, or if you just want to share it just because. There will be a selection process, but we're just looking for good lulz throughout the week and any reads that you think are great. We're really looking to incorporate The Bungie Universe and The Flood Forums into these reviews - so why not ask the people that frequent them the most?
We want you, we need you - if only if it's to get to your mother.
While this is meant to be a weekly thing, I still feel that a nod in the direction of the long lost kd5shw is necessary. kd5shw created what we know currently, as the Mod Finder. I used it frequently a few years ago, you can even ask the mods. Anyway, I really would like to thank jmh9072 for keeping the project up and running, while also adding a few stalking improvements - Moderator Finder + uStalk: Find out when your friends last posted!!
Now, onto something that's more current - current events that is, just yesterday actually. With a thought provoking thread, xXIHAYD0IXx asked the masses - Do you prefer high or low post counts in Threads? We're all a bit different in how we post and where we post, and this is just one of the many questions to be answered.
Yet again in The Septagon, the rules and their context were brought into reasonable question by Mr AwesomePizza - Why is this even a rule? This thread is a great read if you're trying to find a solid line in the gray area within the rules. To put it simply if you think you're joking but you don't really know the person, make it known that you're joking. Despite popular belief - satire is approved; you just have to know where the line is and how to avoid it completely.
Are you a social networking kind of person? Or are you the type that thinks they're the bane of the internet? In either case, you might be interested to know that Bungie Aerospace may diverse and dabble into a social network of sorts. The discussion was started by dmg04 - Aerospace and Bungie.net; Social Networking Future? Personally, as long as raging hormones have no way of breaking through and filling my screen with metaphysical romances that only last a week - I'm fine with it. Which, let's be honest, I don't see that happening very soon on B.Net on a Community level.
This week we also got a look into what it would take to get Bungie in your town. To no surprise, all you need to wear is a spring bikini - oh - and a beach with a gorgeous view of mother nature. The thread was created by a dear friend of mine, xDarkomantis - How do I get a Bungie employee to come over to Florida as a Speaker? I have everything I need except for a beach; you'd be surprised how well a man can rock a bikini.
I have a serious question, what's a Minecraft? I know it's a game, but what is it? An artistic-adventure mixed with a bit of architectural imagination and a dash of memory retainment? Well, whatever it is, why not spend more time with the people you post with? Two friends, acnboy34 and talon2000 have created a server - Bungie.net Community Minecraft Server [Now with Region Control!] It looks like the server's kept clean and maintained. Who knows, maybe you'll run into your new BB - Bnet Buddy.
Now, with this review already accidentally bursting at the seems, I'm going to do this part a wee bit differently. These are the threads we consider lulz worthy, it's be quick - I promise.
Flaming Skullz asked the masses, "Bungie Fan or Halo Fan?" It's to no surprise Bungie has swayed many Halo fans to join their quest for world domination.
PrechaBoyRam tried to bring light on a close held secret with - is bungie a cult or wat?? I'm not at liberty to say, but as far as what I can say, I'm unwilling to say.
sharpace77 began our moderation election this year - Election '12. And I thought the flyers on my car weren't enough! Leave Rokit alone!
G00D AS G0LD 10 feels like many of us when we first arrived here - Too many trolls and too many rules and Mods treat you unfarily. Harsh reality is, it's always been a bit difficult to become a full fledged/proud member of this website.
ABungieFan would pitched the idea for a new forum - Can we have a Role Playing section please? Meow.
Well, that's about all we have for you this week. You'll find the interview down below some place and I'll see you guys next week. If you can, send me a message with some good threads - it's definitely about time to expand.

The Interview:By Mr. AwesomePizza
Machinimagames:
Q: So how are you doing? Got any cool stories to tell?
A: I'm doing awesome. Not really any good storys well my dog ate my fish, but no nothing good.
Q: I'm sorry to hear that about your fish. How did you find Bungie.net?
A: Well back in 2003 I started checking it out because of halo of coarse. One of my friends told me to come check it out.
Q: Wow you've been here for awhile! Does your friend still visit the forums?
A: No he does not. He doesn't play halo anymore. He's more of a call of duty person. He just got out of college.
Q: What do you do for a living? Or are you still in school?
A: Well I've graduated. I'm a gameplay programmer.
Q: Cool! Alright, So if urk & Stosh were put in a giant mosh pit against each other, who would you place you money on?
A: I've got to go with stosh on this one.
Q: Why Stosh? Urk has an epic beard!
A: Exactly I don't like beards!
Q: Blasphemy! I'll let you slide on that one! We sadly only have time for one more question. Size was a real problem last time, It was just too big and had a strange girth. But lets get back on topic. How did you feel about this interview? Any shout outs to anyone? And do you know the muffin man?
A: The interview was good. It gave me something to do on this site.
I'll give a shout out to, Deathpimp Logan acnboy vec4f kapture drummer0702, burrito senior, and everyone else who help make the bungie.net FAQ.Boosh 10,000 Characters!
