Pony threads from both sides of the spectrum.

You guys really need to lay down the law when it comes to that. I mean hell, you'd probably find more civilized responses in a political or religious thread in the Flood.
Some of them start out alright. What the employees or mods need to do is regulate the Flood users themselves seeing as most of them blindly hate the show even though most of them haven't even watched them.

I'd say the threads are alright. But anyone personally attacking the users making it or liking it should receive an automatic 3 day. The threads aren't annoying, but the people derailing and using personal attacks on the MLP lovers are.

Accusations of stupidity or dishonesty without argument are themselves informally fallacious; that is, they're irrelevant personal attacks. Unfortunately, you seem fond of them.

You're welcome to show how anything I've said or implied is implausible. I suspect you'll have difficulty.

No, you misunderstand. I wasn't accusing you of dishonesty. I'm flat out telling you that you're incorrect. Well, more specifically, I was letting everyone else reading that your assumptions are incorrect. I don't know why you think that's a "personal attack". I know it can be fun to suggest that things that are outlandishly plausible are actually true and not just theoretical, but that's simply not the case here.

So now question begging also: you've not established that what I've said is outlandish. In fact, you've not attempted to establish anything about what I've said.

My accusations of "personal attacks" are in response to your claim that I'm either stupid or "trolling" (dishonest), viz.

Now you're just being dumb. Or you're trying to see how many logical fallacies you can hide into one post.

I give your post a 3/10.

Nothing substantive was added to this. The link I provided helped clarify the distinction. I invite you, again, to show that anything I've said or implied is implausible-or even outlandish. This will involve more than stating your belief that I'm mistaken.

If you're unwilling to do this, I'm happy to bring our conversation to a close.

I'm loving this guy, we need more members like him around. This place would get interesting fast.

Give me a thesaurus and I can be just like him :P

Ironically, I don't use thesauruses. If you think the language I'm using is difficult, you need to read more.

That you're convinced I'm using a thesaurus is quite sad. I assure you that I'm not.

I'm not using "large words", either. As I said: If you think the language I'm using is difficult, you need to read more.

He was using sarcasm. People know what you're talking about, but you're trying to confuse others by using words that aren't used in normal, everyday conversation.

I don't use a thesaurus either, but words like yours are mostly used in formal discussion, not casual like Bungie is used to.

He wasn't being sarcastic, but literal; see the above post. I'm not trying to confuse anyone at all. This is how I naturally communicate, both online and "in real life". Some of the words I'm using may not be used in the everyday conversation you hear, but why should that matter to what I do?

I don't care what members here are used to.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

If you talk that way in real life, then do you have a pocket thesaurus? You know for travel.

Oh my god! Get off your damn soapbox. We get it. You believe you're the most intelligent person on this site, as well as incredibly more so than Acky (as stated in the PM you sent me yesterday).

This holier-than-thou attitude that you have in every single discussion is getting really old really fast. If you dislike conversing with such intellectual peasants as are located on these forums, then kindly take your wit and wisdom elsewhere.

As for him having to back up his claim that what you said about developers and their announcing of their products, (considering he works for the developer in question)... He doesn't have to in the slightest. Obviously what he says about the subject is correct as he has explicit knowledge about the present situation. Asking him to explain is ridiculously unnecessary.

We could, but I'm unsure why we'd want to engage in fantasy rather than with reality. It may very well be that your publisher has no involvement whatsoever in the timing of the announcement of your current project, nor in its marketing. I'd sooner believe it's a case of dia tolma pros ta astra...meta tou arguriou.

It's not insecurity. I know Snipe and he's a pretty nice guy. He's honest too. I know exactly what you're saying, but what he says is kind of true. (Although a big stereotype... SNIPE!!!)

When people use uncommon words in casual conversation, it's usually associated with people who think themselves superior to their colleagues or acquaintances. I don't really mind whether or not you speak that way, but think of it on the other spectrum:

People on Bnet are a bunch of bros. We all talk to each other like we would to our buddies from say high school or lower. It's a casual website full of casual users.

Since the claims I made were clearly very uncontroversial, I'm afraid he does. I suspect, to be charitable, that he simply hasn't understood what I've said, though I've no clue why not.

Yes, claiming that Activision's CEO is blocking Bungie from telling us about their next game is pretty uncontroversial.

It's wrong. No controversy needed.

To satisfy Evilcam: I don't like manufactured controversy. It's annoying.
