Hello, i'm having problems with the sniper rifle, I can hit still target effectivly yet on moving targets I lead but I can't find the right amount. I've tried various amounts with dozens of shots but I end up missing I think every single one, however the odd thing is, the shots I don't think will hit, do hit. So what are your opinions, ideas, thoughts, etc. etc.

body shots lean an inch or so, headshots are the hardest since they move back and forth. to get a headshot, the way I do it, is let it sit in one position while you move it around, so when the enemy gets near it, maybe a split second before, you fire. that way he runs into the bullet and you get the headshot. Don't try to waste ammo if you can't get a good shot, if you can save ammo try to get body shots, unless you can get a great headshot. Try to duck and let them waste ammo, and shoot em in the back as they run away

It really depends on the player's behavior of movement, how he moves and such, and the ping in the game. I usually get my targets if they're moving in a straight direction. That includes jumping. XD

Well...if you ask me, its all about your fps and internet latency. You have to adjust accordingly. The two combined will determine your lead time.

I always pay attention to my ping on the server at the time, and about what my fps is on the level I'm on. Which will vary depending on what weapons and nades are being used.

Other than that, just mess around a bit and even take some notes.

Peace.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Check your ping, and the ping of other players, too. If your ping is high, you'll need to lead more. If another player's ping is very high he may be warping all over and be hard to hit.

I love people who jump in a sniper game. A law of physics: a player who is jumping can't change direction till he lands. When he jumps you can figure out where he'll land. Usually, you can shoot where he'll land when he's at the top of his jump and you'll hit him. If its a no sheilds game, he's dead. If not, one more body shot and he's gone.

Igg's last montage video of the April 20th gathering has several clips of him sniping on BG, which shows how far he has to lead his targets. Go check it out.

Yes. If you check out the part where he no scopes the crap out of the reds, you'll see how far he had to lead to get those shots. It's not that hard really.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

90% chance you aren't leading enough.

Even when you are right next to someone, you must lead many feet ahead in they are moving.
