Reach Firefight in general. It just didn't have the fun factor and longevity ODST's did.

I love Firefight! I loved it in Halo 3: ODST - and I still love it in Reach! Though I must admit, the morons running around with the Blueberry Gun, Rockets or FRC shooting at other teammates is annoying.

Thankfully they haven't been much of a problem since Bungie sent the Banhammer after them and started resetting their credits. Before that they were a nightmare, appearing in almost half the games I played some days.

2. Dropships make enemy obliteration too systematic
3. Not very intense or "epic" so to speak
4. No drones :(
5. Next-to no vehicular combat whatsoever
6. Little use of turrets (no base defense feeling)
7. Ends up as a FFA point contest
8. No AI defense turrets/AI teammates or anything cool like that
9. Not really any objective variety

I totally agree on this one! I loved "Lost Platoon" from ODST but find that Bungie REALLY let us down on bringing in a map where we could have this re-created! Imagine ... a map with some REAL vehicles to slaughter like LP would mean most FF players would have their Grounded to Onyx, or at the very least Gold after a year of play!

And I'll add one to your list:

10. Perfectionist is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get beyond Gold unless you AFK and don't get caught by teammates or credit reset by Bungie/343i.

Instead of ROUNDS - it should have been WAVES. At 1282 rounds currently, I'd be at 6,410 if it was waves and that would put me solidly in Gold and over halfway to Onyx - much more realistic!

Waves would have been too easy, as waves get increasingly difficult. So even if you rarely survive a full round you could almost certainly survive the easier waves. If you've survived 1282 rounds you've survived a lot more than 6410 waves.

Not really. If they'd gone with waves you can get they would have made the milestones higher.

I like having something that takes a while to get. If I max out all of them I have less to shoot for, and this way it takes more skill to get the commendations. Surviving a round is more challenging than surviving five first waves.

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?
