Subject: Here's a question.

Let's suppose back when Reach came out AA's were ONLY gained through map pick-up. Would there still be rage about them?
(As may be the case for Halo 4?)

Do not play halo much anymore. Barely ever come on here.

No more rushing power weapons, everyone would rush the damn armor lock.

I wanted to become a recognized member of the flood, then I took an arrow in the knee.

if they were a one time use, i dont think so.

AA been Armour abilities right?

I think it would be cool, gives you a little vareity dont you think? like.. Say you could spawn with nothing, then a bit into the level you find Armor lock or Active camo?

Infact do you think they should Remove Camo and bring back the Triangle shaped Active Camo powerup? lol

Here's a better question - if they were pickups, would people fight over who got to use AL?

A one time use? No I just meant the player would have them until death.

wouldnt people get ripped off out of not getting an AA then? i mean, as long as a person is alive with the "pick up" another one will not spawn, right?

Right kinda like a power weapon, I mean, people don't complain about not having a rocket launcher when the enemy team gained map control..... Right? (lolnoobs)

true, but rockets dont have unlimited ammo. people will probably complain that ALL AA's are over powered simply because they remain with you until you die. my answer to your question: Yes. people will complain, probably even more.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Certain AAs, yes, it would of made the game 1000 times better.

There would probably still be some hate for some abilities but in the case that they were pick-ups, other changes to basic game aspects would of needed change as well.

So basically like H3 equipment again?
People will still complain of course. There's always something to complain about.

For one: people will always complain no matter what, there will always be a difference of opinion.

For two: people do complain about not getting power weapons, I can't tell you how many times a random has betrayed a teammate for the sniper..

For three: I would LOVE if the AA's were pickups, but with a limited use, as apposed to your suggested "till they die" approach.

How would you do that with Jetpack? One bar use?

I think you should get two or three good lifts off of it before it runs out.. but I'm sure like anything it would need tweaking..

Shoryuken!

Mythic Mode Progress on Reach:
Winter Contingency, perfection.
Other levels in progress.

Well, we'd at least be fighting for map control, rather than it being handed to whoever at the beginning.
