Hmm... interesting idea; however, it would have to be implimented very wisely. Killzone 3 has a similar ability; however, it is abused horribly. Ninety percent of the time, you shoot your own teammates because all of the enemies are diguised as them.
That's where the skill level breaks. You will show up as a friendly alli on enemy radar and still be friendly to your initial team. The only possible giveaway might be if I let the GT show red when the cursor moved over it or something like at.
Indeed. In Killzone, the ONLY way you could tell is by their name. It would appear green, but would flicker red from time-to-time. Usually by the time this occured, you would already be dead... As a result, many players would become paranoid and essentially pump any teammate who steered too close to them full of lead. I'm positive betrayals will become far more frequent due to this ability; however, this may not be an issue if the name always appeared red (as you suggested). Another idea I would suggest is to keep the name green; however, make the player appear as an enemy on the enemy's radar.
