Subject: The Auto-Reply Feature

Why does this feature exist?

Seriously what was this intended to do? It doesn't feel like it serves any real purpose and it's annoying when you PM someone and think you got a response only to see Herp Derp [Auto-Reply] in your inbox.

I don't get it there are so many better things that could've been added to Bnet instead of this.

I love it.

It serves a purpose. For example, a user could go on holiday, and just to let people know they could set their autoreply to say that they are on holiday, meaning people sending them messages won't wonder why they don't receive a reply.

It's like a delayed answering machine telling you that they're avoiding your calls about going out to dinner because they have another guy over at their house.

Or it's just there to tell people that you're away

I don't really see a use to it in all honesty.

Yeah no that makes sense. I just have a problem with how overused it is. Like I'm sick of PM'ing people only to get a paragraph back about how they don't want to be recruited for groups.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Not once have I gotten an auto reply telling me that someone was on vacation. I hate people that set it on automatic.

The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head, The thunder of the drums dictates
The rhythm of the falls, the number of dead's the rising of the horns, ahead
From the dawn of time to the end of days I will have to run, away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste of the blood on my lips, again

I can't remember if i enabled it..

I enjoy using it when I go on vacation since my inbox tends to get flooded with thread reports, but otherwise I prefer leaving it off.

I see what you are saying, I have never actually seen it used properly, but ideally it would be used similarly to my example above.

I feel like mods are the only people that use it "properly" though. I don't think there's any need for the average member to have it.
