Subject: Has moderation become more loose since rules change?

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

And do you guys think it should be that way?

I think it has and it should stay that way. There's a lot less specific rules, IMO, so the mods really can't be cracking down on us for every typo and grammar mistake.

I'm a college dropout.

I've felt like they've usually been pretty reasonable anyways, but I haven't noticed much of a change because of that.

All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

No need for us to post now.

OT: Less minor rules for me to worry about, so this is way better.

That should be, "There are a lot fewer specific rules . . . ."

Prepare to be banned.

I kid, I kid.

No one else has noticed a difference? Wait, why did Achronos Chang the rules anyways, anybody got a clue?

Because the previous iteration was something like 10,000 words long.

Rarity FTW

I see more locks, but that's about it.

Foman still bans a lot of people, Evilcam still has witty responses, and Recon still baffles users with his intellect.

And Qbix still...uh....does stuff.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Have you noticed the pages full of locks? I wouldn't say it has gotten that lax.

Unless he was referring to the specificity, in which case he's correct. Also his "There is a lot" is valid american english, using "a lot" as a collective. He's then just missing an of.

So? Even if people didn't read it iand got banned it was their fault (hey look, talking in third person!)

And it was already typed...

I think that people tried to appeal bans by nitpicking, or because their specific action was not spelled out a forbidden in the rules, so they went with a more general approach.

A lot of the times rules are just a list of common sense nodes anyway.

On a side note, Does the darkness feel like a holiday to you guys? because when Bungies new game is announced Bnets activity will sky rocket and you'll all be busy as hell cleaning the streets.

Yes, but banning someone because 'YOU DIDN'T READ LINE 67 OF THE RULES. It clearly states you cannot mention your love for bananas' is -blam!- retarded.

Then people use it to their own advantage, 'herp the rules don't say specifically that I cannot post pictures of my arse, remove my ban kthanks'

But mainly just having a rules list that long is stupid, especially when the entire point of them can be summed up in the current set. To be honest you could probably make them even shorter and just have 'don't be a bad poster', but eh.

So make more general to allow less specific appeals.....

And it would have made easier for mods, I'm assuming. So in conclusion the rules change was to allow moderators more freedom, and since so mods don't have to go around banning for each and every detail.

And that would contribute to the idea moderation has become less strict because mods have taken it into their own hands to how strict they want to be.

All of that or I'm looking way too much into this.
