If I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good nite.

When I was in 5th grade, a friend of mine, my best friend, came to me and said that he needed help beating a level. He was stuck in the Library.

A friend down the street had an xbox. I became better at Halo than he was, despite not owning a console.

I got my first xbox and copy of Halo with my own hard earned money.

Ever since beating the game on Co-Op, I wanted nothing else but a sequel.

Bungie delivered with Halo 2. There was Hijacking vehicles and dual wielding weapons and a usable sword. The multi-player levels were amped up. The universe expanded. I thought ODSTs were so cool. Then Master Chief says he's gonna finish the fight and the credits roll. I can't wait.

So when Halo 2 was coming out, I wanted 4 player Co-Op. It didn't happen. Instead, it came with Halo 3. But I wanted to play as an ODST as players 2-4 with player 1 being the Master Chief. Instead, it was Chief, Arbiter, and 2 other Elites. I was cool with that. But I still wanted something else. I wanted to fight unlimited bad guys, because I had played Mech Assault 2 where you would fight endless waves of bad guys. But that didn't come in Halo 2 or 3 either.

Then came Halo 3: ODST where I got to play as an ODST and Firefight debuted. I was thrilled. But then I wanted to play as Master Chief one more time and also do Firefight with him.

Instead, I got Reach with Armor Abilities, and Chief's voice for Firefight. I got Noble Six, whose armor I could change and make my own.

So I turned to my friends throughout all of these games and said how I still loved Combat Evolved's physics engine the most.

If Bungie could just put a new graphics skin on top of the Halo: Combat Evolved gameplay, I would be the happiest gamer ever.

Bungie then announced Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

At every turn in my relationship with the Halo Franchise, whether it was Bungie or 343 Studios, I've been catered to. Everything that I've thought of, they have put out. I didn't email them. I never sat down and wrote this out (until now).

Thanks for making such a great universe. The story and the gameplay are simply fun and entertaining. I couldn't ask for more. Thanks! Thanks a million!

I'm looking forward to Anniversary.

erAsed is RIPPIN

Once you go Black you never go back!

That's all well and great my friend but I've got to let you know that Bungie has had little hand in the development of Halo: Anniversary. The remake as well as Halo 4 are being produced by Microsoft's new Halo studio "343 Industries." Check them out on Halo Waypoint.

PS I'm psyched for the game too Halo: CE will always be my favorite.

I know that 343 Industries is now taking over and I briefly mention that, but it's still Bungie's baby. The Halo Franchise has consistently entertained and earned my money. 343 Industries wouldn't be remaking Combat Evolved without Bungie.

And call me crazy, I've liked Combat Evolved's gritty look more than Halo 2 or 3's glossy sheen this whole time. Just when I think that I get everything I wanted, the franchise throws in the "classic" button so that I can go back to my younger years and play the original graphics whenever I want. Such a positive experience.

Prepare for Utter Brutal Emancipation.

I don't think any of the new games will be up to par with any of the *real* Bungie games. These knock-offs will simply be a shadow cast on the wall. Those who have been in the dark for too long will mistake these new halo games as something fantastic, all they need to do is free themselves from the cave to see the real world. But alas, their eyes will only be used to the shadowy images to which they are accustomed and they will crawl back to the cave to the images of the things that are familiar to them... never to see the sunlight again...

I'm not saying that Halo is the be all end all of games. I'm simply saying that at each turn in the franchise, I've wanted something, and the franchise delivered.

I'm not blind to the great games that exist such as Half-life 2 and the ensuing episodes or the Gears trilogy or Fable 2 and 3 or Assassin's Creed or even Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

I've enjoyed many games outside of the Halo franchise, but I wouldn't have gotten an xbox without Combat Evolved.

That said. Will I get Halo 4? Yes. I want to know what Chief is up to. Will I be disappointed? Quite possibly. But I'm willing to be let down. I'm also willing to admit that better games exist and will exist when it is released.
