IMO: I prefer 75%. This is my reason.

Even with ZB in Halo:Reach, you will still run into the problem of the Sprint Punch. Hell, even I'm guilty of it. If I know a 1-shot is hiding right around a corner, I'll sprint and punch him.

With bleed through the problem of a herp-derp stills happens. For example I was playing a game on Countdown. Somone was hiding s2 in their triangle and sprinted out and punched me as I was going towards S2 from their Jet. Obviously I couldn't shoot him 3 times then punch. I traded a punch and he derped me.

With 75% 3 melee's are needed for the kill (via MLG settings). If that were the case, he goes for 2 punches, I can get a punch and 2 shots off before his 3rd punch.

Thats just my opinion. I think default Reach should have a 75% melee overhaul.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

I want both. Make it a bleed-through punch, but make it weak so that you can't die from a punch if you have any shielding left.

I loved bleed through in Halo 3.
It just doesn't work in Reach.
I hate it....
Thats the one thing I don't like with the new update. Everything else makes the game better, but the bleed through just makes the game feel even more random.

That makes no sense though. If you have a sliver of sheild left and they punch you, what would that do? Remove the last bit of sheild. AKA-75%.

If it bled through and took health, once again. No point. It would need a 3rd hit.

Hence why I prefer 75%. If you still have sheilds after they begin to shoot, its 2 hits as opposed to 1 with bleed through.

Honestly, they should have just set melee damage to 75%. No sprint/double melee, no AR rushing. Problem solved.

imagine a game where everyone ruin all your sprees with a cheap pummel it'll be so hard to survive-75 pummel is definitely better.

I'll agree with you there. TBH I don't have problms with ZB ARs. As we've seen 343 ZB TS consits of DMR/Mag-No AR's in the mix. However the problem still stands with 100% melee+bleed through. Its what? 3DMR shots, 2 mag shots+melee for a kill? But still Double melee can still happen easily. Espcially with Sprint.

Bleed through is broken because of the default damage is broken. If you take a sniper shot with bleed through on you take 1/2 a health bar damage. This then turns you into a 4 shot not 5 shot with a DMR, even after shields recover. Also this allows for a single grenade kill.
