He is considered dead by the UNSC.
The UNSC has let him go and has moved on.
This. They think he is dead so why would they go look for him? Also, Cortana's beacon must have been able to reach at least half a galaxy length for anyone (UNSC) to have picked the signal up, which i highly doubt. So if they are there (Halo 4 setting), It is because they were already there, and that doesn't really make much sense.
Well too bad with your limited knowledge of how Halo 4's plot will work because there will be a full UNSC faction in the trilogy.
We don't know the full extent of the UNSC's presence in the Reclaimer Trilogy yet, so don't jump to conclusions.
Yes we do. I do at least. You see, the UNSC is absolutely mandatory in order for the gameplay to have any relevance to the Halo series because there hasn't been one Halo game without the UNSC. That's just not part of logical development today; completely changing what was in a series.
And I know they will be featured throughout the entire trilogy due to this little thing called "consistency". And because of the reason I just listed.
Don't you think it'd be out of place to suddenly have a faction disappear from the gameplay, having been heavily featured in the games (i.e., the dominant form of Halo media)?
YOU don't know how the trilogy will go either.
And I can't wait to find out.
Using the mental tools of inference, logic, and understanding of gameplay concept, you can see the obvious fact that the UNSC will be feature throughout the trilogy.
And none of my argument in this thread is even using the heavy implications given through the concept art, Grenade-Pistol, or the WARTHOG.
First off there is a slight hinting at ONI being in the game not the UNSC. Second i don't see how warthogs (which are on the ship) and mere weapons mean that the UNSC will be in the game. All of that is on the ship and will be brought by infinity if it is in the game.
The UNSC hasn't found chief until atleast 2610 if a remember my dates right. Seeing how Halesy will most likely never be "brought back from the dead" since she is declared a hero by the UNSC There is a damn good chance the same will be done for chief.
The UNSC will list him as dead and promote him as a war hero that died for humanity. Everything is up to ONI from now on.
And i love how you say the games will "always" have to have the UNSC or covenant yet you talk about "they need to change or it gets stale". Since you haven't even played any of the halo games i understand why you would think that but for those who have been playing for the last ten years it is getting boring.
Halo is Rich in lore that could be expanded to the games such as
Human-flood wars, human-forerunner war, WW3,Rainforest wars, The insurrection, Games as an arbiter, Games from the covenant side and history, Games based off of covenant client races and their culture, a Game based only on fighting the flood, more games like ODST, etc.
The games Can go far more than the human covenant war (Which is getting old). so again; Learn the Lore, play the games, read the books, and actually learn about the development history of the franchise. Because you honestly never know what you are talking about.
