Subject: Does camping require any skill?

"I plan to live forever, or die trying. "I am the dealer of fate. From a distance, in the trees and shadows, I wait. With a round in the chamber and the bolt locked tight. I look them in the eyes through my telescopic sight. I touch the trigger and I say goodbye. The man in my sights is about to die. He crumples like paper as the round hits his head. I feel no pain, no regrets to be said."

So, I played an Invasion game on Spire today, and the opposing team's collective k/d must've been above 4. I'm one of those guys who always checks opposing players k/d, so I know how to adjust my play style. Everyone of them was an Inheritor, except one Reclaimer I think. They were all committed to the pistol, and boy did they mess us up. I sent one of them an angry message, and he responded "ask your teammates what's going on."
Turns out they were boosting, I don't see how but, that's what he inferred. Personally, I play to have fun, which means my k/d was horrible early. With a lot of camping, I brought my k/d from 1.09 to 1.32 or +13,000. I have to say hiding by myself kinda sucks, I would rather drive or gun. I won't lie, I love to snipe, but I miss the fun I used to have. I played an Infection game and this guy was hiding on top of the building at the bottom of Boardwalk, just picking everyone off. We, as a team, just decided to betray him the rest of the game. I guess I'm just ranting because I got my ass kicked a couple of games in a row. However, I do have a question, what's one of the worst experiences you had with a camper or campers?

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

How do Campers fail?

No Radar.

Implement no motion sensors into all of Matchmaking!

Camping is a type of game play. Accept it or don't it's your decision. But, it will always be part of any FPS game

Definitely does, sometimes you won't see another player for a couple minutes. You have to resist running out there. My brother talks -blam!- every time I camp, but his k/d is .89 or -6,000, so it's not like I'm gonna take his advice. You can't beat the feeling of having a whole Big Team full of friends, just edging out the win. But it seems everyone has become selfish players, including me. No, I take that back, my problem is I don't trust my teammates. I only have a couple of friends that I can trust to actually go for the objective. Most just play slayer, that really annoys me, because why can't you do both?

Depends what kind of camping. Shotgun camping in, say, the lift exit on Sword Base is way obvious so anyone smart won't use it. I consider that the annoying type of camping that takes no skill whatsoever. However if you're actually using a sniper to pick people off from across the map, I find it acceptable since the spot usually means you have a good view point.

That's just how I see it.
