We should know better, because we are better.

Alright, maybe it was a hyperbole, but the fact of the matter is that the Infinity is above and beyond every other UNSC ship.

I think its a shame that we havent learnt more about the Marathon cruisers..... always wanted to know more about the Trafalgar.
Trafalgar is not a Marathon Class Cruiser. It is a new type of ship called a Supercarrier. It carries an enourmous amount of troops and spaceborne ships.

When was anything said about it having ships?
Ya know, like longswords and pelicans and the likes.

Cheesiest UNSC ship name evar![/quote]

Makes sense if you understand the context.

If we're talking about it in context then a better name would be UNSC Mary Sue...

The purpose of the ship, I mean, the doors it opens and horizons it uncovers for humanity

By being the best ship ever, having no large weaknesses, super powered weaponry, liked by all, crazy advancements, etc. It is essentially a Mary Sue in ship form.

The only thing it has going for it is a better slipspace drive....

Not quite. Glasslands says that Infinity had forerunner integrated weaponry in the ship as well. Means that firepower of the warship is significantly increased. I'm willing bet that Infinity probably will get shields as well.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Gonna need more than a cool ship to fight a borderline god.

We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand and of overwhelming force on the other.

Probably no longer than 15,000 feet. Nothing special. Now if it had things like A triple-MAC Cannon, wow. But I don't know.

Supernatural/psychic powers regardless, as far as we know Primordial is still biological. Unless he has some sort of armor made of Precursor material, I'm sure we could still kill him. After a while anyway.

haha

It will have more then that, They have a whole docking bay full of forerunner ships, and engineers to help them integrate more tech to the ship. Plus in Grasslands halsey said at the very least they can get the better slipspace drive, and that was assuming she escaped the dyson sphere with just that tech on her datapad.

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

I really hope that the Halo universe doesn't fall into the Stargate SG1 trap..... where the writers can't think of anything else but to make things EVEN BIGGERER.

weren't you one of the main being advocating that the Gravemind/prisoner could never be killed yet only stopped?

i don't think the goal should be killing them since that is pointless id they will return; we need to make a better prison. Inside a star, or wrap it in a crap load of iron and fling it near a magnetar/

Yes forgive me, perhaps a better term would be banished, or stopped rather then killed. But I do think it could be possible to kill the biological body he inhabits without actually finishing him off. If he can project his consciousness, as the alias Gravemind theory suggests, he could theoretically survive anything, even bodily destruction.
