@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

I haven't really seen this discussed too much, but aside from Glasslands ending on a big cliffhanger, there appears to be a battle of sorts on Sanghelios.

'Telcam said "It's not us." and from what I gather their are explosions going off in the background.

So who is attacking?

I see a few options here.

1. It's the Brutes. The Elites have given the "loyal" Brutes, as if, demeaning jobs and treated them only better than humans. We do know the Elites wage war with them until 2559, Glasslands is set during 2553. It was also implied the Brutes were stealing ships and weapons, so could this be a rebellion/invasion? Maybe.

2. The Timeless One has launched his first wave of his invasion. I have zero evidence to support this, so take this one with a grain of salt. The only reason I say this is because 'Telcam utters, "By the gods." So whatever this is, it has to be terrible.

3. The Arbiter is striking back. News of the Abiding Truth was spread around, so he may have put the pieces together.

What do you gusy thinking is attacking?

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

I think option one is the way to go. The Brutes have been stealing ships and weapons and have teamed up with other Brute survivors to launch a massed attack upon Sanghelios. Telcam is seeing the first wave arriving. My bet is that the Elites claim a phyyric victory, shattering the Brute assault but losing most of their home world and species to the invaders.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

If this is it then I may just be able to forgive Traviss... That would be absolutely brilliant.

But from what The Return tells us, it's probably the Brutes.

Ad Infinitum

Probably the Brutes. I'm more interested in what Naomi's dad will be up to in the second book.

I really hope it's the Brutes. Something about a few of them acting as a servant class for the Sangheili was too big a stretch for my tastes, especially after everything that had happened.

Same. but i expect everybody to be getting their hopes up for nothing and it is simply Elite on Elite action.
