Guild Charter
About Us
Unholy Rapture is a guild that was originally founded as a Dark guild in Dark and Light (www.darkandlight.com), with a deep sense of community. We have been around in various iterations over the years, across many different games. The people of UR come from a diverse background with a common goal: To foster a sense of belonging to a greater cause, of helping others, and domination.
We have since branched into other new, exciting games, in the hopes that we can have one large player base to help make the transition from one game to another go as smoothly as possible.
Structure
The guild is divided into three different, but equally important sections: Martial, Mercantile, and Civics Management. The guild will be run by a Senate comprised of the Consuls and Proconsuls. The Senate will convene to decide the direction of the guild and where best to allocate its resources. All Senate members will have an equal say in all guild matters, regardless of rank or tenure.
Each section will be led by a Consul and one or more Proconsuls. It is the responsibility of the Consuls to ensure the smooth operation of their section, as well as making sure that all orders from the Senate are passed on and carried out.
Every Consul will divide his section into groups as they see fit. This is to ensure that the guild will run in a smooth, efficient manner with a clearly defined chain of command.
The Senate will also have guild representation as well. There will be one representative from each Class present in the Senate, with a 2 month term. The vote will be by their Class peers. The votes will be on a staggered rotation, every two weeks will be a job-specific vote (i.e. all Fighters in the first vote, all Healers in the second, etc.)
Alliances
At the current moment, we are not allied with any other guilds.
Community
Unholy Rapture is designed to foster a sense of community. We as a group are dedicated to aiding our fellow guildmates above all else, because the strength of a guild comes from the morale and personality of each of its members, not just a select few. We may not all get along, we may not all like each other, but we are all here for one reason: To be the best. The best individually, and the best as a whole.
Guild Life
Ahh, so you want to know what life is like in the Rapture? Well, besides working towards the goal of being the best at what we do, we make a few stops along the way. We start with our new recruits. When a new member joins Unholy Rapture, they are assigned the title of Tirones. They then undergo a two week probationary period in which they get to know the other members of the guild and the Senate. After the end of the two week period, a vote will be brought to the council to decide if the person qualifies as a member. By a vote with a 2/3 majority, the Tirones becomes a full-fledged member of the guild and given the title of Milites.
Once you become a Milites, the real fun begins. While the guild has a structure and rules, most of them apply to large raids and the day-to-day administration of the guild. The atmosphere is actually very laid back, and we try to help each other out as much as possible. Remember, the guild is made up of its individual membersand you do have a voice to make things hapen!
