Subject: Need ACTIVE Reach players

NOTE: This clan uses a Bungie group as a homepage, has no minimum age requirements (I and my colleague are both 19), is based in the U.S., and requires players to have a headset to communicate. If any of these things turns away your interest, so be it. You have been warned.

So I've been around the block with clans before, mostly in Halo 3. Something was always missing to me. Couldn't quite place it before, but as I have looked at enlistment for clans here in Reach, I figured it out. It's the principle of the whole thing. Rules and chains of command and needless ranks and everyone looking the same, and not being able to play with anyone outside your clan. Things like that bug me, and what's worse is all this bureaucracy takes away from the game itself. I just wanna play with other people, not jump through hoops.

So my friend MrGameVirus and I, on a whim, started up a clan of our own. We'd like you to join us. We're called the Rogue eXiles.

Quoted below is a copy of our mission statement:
We are the Rogue eXiles, a clan for players of the Halo series. At RX, we strive for function over form, and our focus is on maintaining a warm atmosphere for our members and guests alike to make new friends and alliances, and find team mates with whom to play the game. Other clans push for uniformity and strict categorization, leaving the individual to become merely another number.

The Rogues seek to break this idea and form a new league of players. Here is a list of things RX will NOT do to its members:

(o) We will NOT make you change your emblem, armor, color, gamertag, profile information or any aspect of your gamer identity. If you want to "represent" RX, you may do so however you wish.

(o) We will NOT make you post on this site or anywhere else, or attend set practice or meeting times, or force you to change your schedule and habits in any way as a requirement for membership. If your activity level with us does increase, it has its benefits, but there are no consequences if it does not.

(o) We will NOT judge you based on skill level, rank, statistics, household income, or any other ridiculous subjective measure of worth. Individually, members may prefer some fellow players over others, but we welcome you to find a team of people with whom you fit best.

(o) We do NOT offer special privileges to anyone. All members are subject to the judgment of the Council under the direct interpretation of our Creed. Even if you're the Halo Alltime Pro or you've been in this clan for a year, you are not excused from being an asshat, so don't.

(o) We will NOT "pull rank" or inflict some sort of chain of command that forces members through a bureaucracy. Council members will do their best to handle conflicts, there will be no picking of favorites, and any one member is welcome to ask for help any time without jumping through hoops.

There you have it. If RX interests you, join the group - membership is open, so you can get started right away. Actual enlistment is done via a stickied post in the group forum, so read up. Feel free to add me immediately, no need to wait until you get a reply or anything in the group.

The goal here is to play Halo, not to make weird training programs or figure out who's a better leader or assign you can officer commission, please keep that in mind. After joining the group and signing up for the clan, you don't ever have to login to the group page again, it's up to you. Just be active in Halo and play games with us. That's the point here.

Why was 6 afraid of 7?

It wasn't, numbers are not sentient beings and thus incapable of feeling fear. Get your facts straight.
